Oh I like these more... hmmm...

    1. Aguascalientes - I imagine I will be in hot water here ;) as others won't agree but I love the colour scheme. I've also been to it's namesake town aka Machu Pichu town in Peru :)
    2. Sinaloa - this is a bit fussy but fascinating
    3. Baja California Sur - I like the shell and fish emblems
    4. Durango - I struggle to get over the overall look, I like the crown and the tree but on the whole this is not pleasing to the eye

    Zacatecas Neat and tidy
Campeche A good job on the castles and ships theme
Tamaulipas A bit cartoony, like expecting Roadrunner
    Puebla No comic book

Puebla is a cartoon guide to Mexican independence

Then Tamaulipas, with its Outrun game screenshot

Zacatecas then is less busy than the other one, which I can't pronounce, so I'll just call it the other one and let it be fourth.

    1. Tamaulipas - overall the nicest colour scheme and the detail is not too fiddly
    2. Campeche - a bit fussy but I quite like the traditional Spanish styling, all you need is a Monarch, an Armada and a Castle ;)
    3. Puebla - seems a more modern attempt to honour more than Spaniards, but I'm not so sure hydroelectricity, fossil fuel burning factories and guns are high on my list of things to celebrate :D
    4. Zacatecas - that shade of yellow is garish and well religion... meh

  • Registered Users Posts: 27,071 ✭✭✭✭ HeidiHeidi

    1. Tamaulipas - a nice agricultural look to this one. With a bit of fishing thrown in.

    2. Campeche - ships!

    3. Puebla - that looks like fightin' talk all around and underneath! And the first thing I saw was Mayo :D (yes, I DO know it's May!)

    4. Zacatecas - bit on the religious side for my taste.

Puebla is like some economy masterplan, but has the feathered snakes
    Zacatecas. The conquest of Mexico
    Tamaulipas. More agro planning.
    Campeche. Too flourishy

Coahuila is actually quite nice; like the gold colour.

Chihuahua for the castle that looks like a metaller hand signal

Mexico City for being inoffensive but bland

Morelos - too much writing and it's crooked too.

    chihuahua I actually love this!

    Coahuila

    Mexico City

    Morelos

    1. Chihuahua - looks like fun, and they've got hospitality on their coat of arms, so it must be practically compulsory :)

    2. Morelos - because I feel sorry for that poor wilting plant in the middle - would someone ever give it a drop of water for pity's sake?? Plus, I like the simple colouring.

    3. Coahuila - nice artwork, a river, more dogs hanging from trees, and it's trying to be a scroll

    4. Mexico city - simple I like, that's just boring.

Coahuila Looks like a crest of a Spanish holiday resort - it gets my vote I want to be there.
Mexico City OK neat not gaudy
Morelos looks like our first garden
Chihuahua Conquistadors and Indians me no like.

Coahuila. It's actually nice and also has the dogs, unlike Chihuahua :pac:
Mexico City. I like the reference to the old city on the lake
Morelos. The socialist motto is too long
    Chihuahua. Nah

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ ari101

    1. Coahuila - liking the ye olde treasure map fade ;) I see the tree with wolves appears again
    2. Morelos - I like the colouring and vibe here, something different
    3. Chihuahua - interesting selection of cultural/historic icons
    4. Mexico City - are they cactii?? Not for me.

Jalisco cos it's blue and yellow.

    Then a gap.

Then - I guess Mexico State is the most interesting? Followed by Michoacan and the other one.

But I'd vote for Jalisco four times if I could.
