circumference of a circle 2* pie * r = 2 * 3.14 * 5 = 31.4 km

therefore you can travel 31.4 km from your home and not have broken any restrictions.

I would just love clarification from McConkey as to why he said this tbh.
I mean, if he genuinely believes the vaccine wont work fair enough. Tell us. Tell us why.

I'm fed up of wishy washy from MM and LV, absolutely fed up to the back teeth. Its putting people over the edge. Peoples savings are almost gone, livelihoods destroyed and may never return. Its not small beans anymore.
And thats without the emotional cost.
The majority cant be expected to endure the "possibly"...the "maybe"... the "could be"....any longer.

if you want to go outside the 5km restriction then always have your excuse ready before you leave.
- shopping, pharmacy, vulnerable family member, graveyard, assisting family member who is a farmer,
always keep the excuse simple but easily believable.
for example my neighbour regularly goes hill walking 20km away from his home - he brings a dog leash but no dog and a story about a friend who spotted a black lab running wild up there. looked like his missing dog.

Hate to be that guy, but...

5km from your home describes 31.4 km^2 area you're allowed to move around in.
Within that area you can travel as many kilometres as you like.
But you can still only travel 5km from your home.

I wasn't watching it by choice as I aired my feelings on our national broadcaster
earlier but the OH puts it on to torture me and he's taken to blaring it so I cant avoid it (I reckon he's checking my blood pressure levels :P)

I happened to be in the North today and without the travel restriction it feels so different. People out and about hiking, cycling, fishing, visiting nice places for a walk etc.

It's far from normal life but the difference to what we have here with our 5k rule and people curtain twitching over anyone leaving their house was noticeable. It'd make a huge difference to a lot of people if the government could even move to county only.

Have we not based our response to the virus on the likes of him or his colleagues prediction’s?

When will hospital visits be allowed again?

My father, who is being treated for cancer, had a stroke two weeks ago. At the time we were called in as it looked like he wouldn't see it through the day. Fortunately over the next couple of days he improved and was moved to a normal wardd. He has no recollection that we saw him. Two weeks on he watched my mother's 6th year anniversary mass alone, on his phone. The nursing staff told us that he has been crying most of the day. His hearing isn't great and he is struggling with his phone.

He seems to be declining physically and emotionally and really needs family support to get through this but we have no idea how and when we will be able to.
