Big chance for Ed Byrne here.

Not that he’s got the ability to take it though.

    Is Ruddock captain now?

Have they talked about helmets in rugby? Get it wouldn't work with scrums?

Helmets cause worse head issues as it does not deter head clashes

We're not taking about the squad were talking about if him coming on would make a difference. I think he adds pace and has a great pass. Waste of time talking about someone not in the team in a match thread

    Oh he does yeah absolutely.

Imo GP should not be in the team, I think it’s a promise made to players coming to play for the provinces(irfu) Strauss was an example of that.

My criticism Is solely on squad selection here, that being said I also think GP has been doing fine today.

Thank god next week is a rest one.

Might give a chance for us to regroup and get Ryan back into the side. Don't see Henderson being available to us for a few weeks.

3 HIA, we need to make sure we don't concede in the next 10 minutes, hopefully all 3 will be back so we'll have fresh legs for longer.

NFL has shown that helmets can result in worse long term head injuries.

I dont rate the coach. But he is a very unlucky coach ?

Ireland losing all composure now entirely.

That sums up our attack disjointed and pedestrian

We have been incredibly unlucky the last two weeks. Unreal at this stage.

I don’t rate the coaching team but the amount of injuries now is nuts

Have to say our scrum is rock solid.

It's like the Wild West here with all this talk of saloons.

Not much protection in a scrumcap.

Definitely, need to get players back for the wooden spoon game against Italy

I see Lowe has decided to pack in the tackling for the second half

Can’t get out of our own half. France bossing this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,727 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

We're extremely lucky the French are making handling errors at crucial moments.

They're murdering us at the contact area. Getting offloads out at will.

French butchering keeping Ireland in the game

  • Sinking feeling that this could get messy.

Helps protect against cuts and ears being ripped off, there isn't much protection available for head on head hits.

Lowe is so great going forward but defensively is shocking two missed tackles in the space of 30 seconds

French mistakes the only thing that’s stopping them scoring now.
