    BEAR HUG CHALLENGE
    BEAR HUG YOUR SANDBAG FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE
    CHALLENGE AND SCORING

    Max freestanding, unsupported, raw hold time of a sandbag (200lbs/150lbs). The athletes with the longest hold will win the contest

    It's 200lbs for men, 150lbs for women, with no coffin shaped sandbags, handles etc.

    Looks like fun. I wouldn't mind having a go at this, but I don't own a strongman sandbag and would be reluctant to order a 200lb one just to try this. Is anyone going to give it a shot?

    No details on movement standards and so on up yet. I am imagining that what will be required is that the bag is picked up off the scale (with the weight visible) and then you stand with it with a clock running in the background or foreground.

    The cheapest 90kg sandbag I can see is €75 from Strength Shop ( https://www.strengthshop.ie/double-layer-strongman-sandbag-v2.html ) . Is there a cheaper alternative anyone is aware of that would fit the criteria for the challenge?
