Next time I find myself asking why we're still persisting with Sexton at his age, I'll have to remember that.

Sexton put in some ****ing terrible touch finders

bbc commentator thinks win is too long and keeps saying W

At least it hasn't devolved into people saying D rather than defence. That boils my piss.

That has nothing to do with what you said. They were crap too

At this point I’ve had it with our “leaders” as usual let the team down when they were needed most. There isn’t much to say other than repeat what was said in all our recent visits to Cardiff, Wales take their chances and Ireland piss around, a tale old as time.

Also can we end this talk of how reliant we are on Sexton, he has been **** for ages now and if Ross Byrne did what Sexton did in this match we would have said he wasn’t test standard and should be dropped, you can see the difference in reaction when Burns makes a mistake and Byrne does...

    Earls Murray Sexton were awful

Beirne Keenan Henshaw our best players by a distance.
Kilcoyne and Henderson staked a claim to start next week as both were very good when they came on.

The rest worked hard and can't take much away from them for effort

Ruddock Connors Stander backrow next week

Wales are crap. Loss is very much down to POMs utter stupidity.

They’d want to be if they are representing Ireland. The breed of player we have today is a lot poorer than 20 years ago.

This is as bad a situation that Irish rugby has been in, in the 21st century.

C'mon, bit of reality. Has everyone got cabin fever affecting their judgement?

This is one match you can say a second of stupidity cost us. O'Mahony should get a rollicking for this, but hardly the end of the road for him.

    Unfortunately.

I thought burns' decision to kick cross field with 8 minutes to go was bad, then gareth davies gazumped him with a absolutely brain dead decision to kick a meaningless grubber down the line with 10 seconds left and not to be out down, burns pips him at the finished for the Second Worst Decision of the match award.

Keenan killed 1 overlap, possibly 2.

He was absolutely atrocious. Kicked out on the full. Threw a pass after that last ring Rose break to nobody and we lost 20m and then misses a simple touch. I feel sorry for the lad but he was awful
Sexton did the same. Pretty sure a match is 80m not the last bit that upset you most.

    Rubbish.

Equal amount of class and crap today. Judge it on 20th March.

They'd likely have had it if he didn't kick for the corner

    Just a mad decision

Why the **** aren't we using Lowe and Murray for touch finders. Two massive boots and they give you a left and right option. It's stupidity and stubbornness.

It’s hard to understand how so much of the decision making was off

    POM for for the red
Earls for the tackle in the air
    Burns at the end

Of the 3 2 are split second decisions, Burns has time, players around him, surely nobody thinks or says take a chance here pal. Simple play was drop it over and we give it all. His kick out on the full earlier too shocking

Not the first time O'Mahony has led with the shoulder, coaching staff take some responsibility as top coaches pick upon weakness/flaws in players

Utterly stupid comment. 14 men for 65 min and lost by a score.

And really could have won. It was a brave performance scuppered by some f*cking daft decisions.

We had a number of players put in serious shifts. Wales were pretty poor all told. Real chance of a fifth place finish now though. Scotland will fancy us at home.

Can't fault Ireland for effort, but indiscipline and errors were off the Richter scale.

It doesn't say a whole lot for Wales. What a mess they made of closing out the game.

You can't over look POM's sending off. But I don't want to be too hard on him. He'll really beat himself up over it and it's something you don't like seeing happen to any player.

We're all over the shop though.

Oh he beat himself up for deliberately making a dirty hit on a defenseless player? That's grand so, straight back in to the team then.

He shouldn't line out again. Cost us the match, and frankly that's a disgusting, premeditated cheap shot that could've seriously injured the Welsh player

Look, Burns will make those mistakes, he’s learning. It’s why he needs more starts or any 10 that isn’t sexton does.

As annoying as that kick dead was I think it re-emphasises the point even more. You can’t expect players to come in and make clutch plays at this level with a handful of minutes behind them.

Annoyingly Tipuric should have been pinged on the other side just before that with a handier kick to the corner.

The JGP and Burns combo didn’t click under pressure, Id start them next time out. Fúck it.

To be fair, Ireland had two forward passes in the last few minutes that weren't called. Would have been a travesty if they ended up winning.

Yeah there was one that was obviously forward to Larmour that wasn't called surprisingly. =D

Unfortunate end to the game. Huge performance and great heart with 14 men for 4/5 of the game. They deserved more than that but a few big mistakes cost us when everything has to go right from the 15th min on. Have to give them credit for that. Could easily be on here moaning about a 30 point loss.

After the red Wayne Barnes let us off two blatant yellows - Keith earls and the high tackle (identical to the English one yesterday)

    Also Billy Burns sucks

    Ah dear...not good

Of course all those @rseholes saying things like hang your head in shame and never wear green again...remember Sexton did the same thing earlier in the half.

    Anyway...extremely disapointing

Burns made the mistake of trying to get every inch. Every other player was going for every inch too, including POM when he got himself sent off

I’ll always support a team who give it their all and leave nothing out on the pitch, and Ireland left nothing out there.
