When I saw Barnes come up on the screen before KO. I had reservations about the result being good for us. It turns out that I was right so far.

However; I thought were playing well for a decent bit of the game before Sexton came off for a HIA. I hope it is not too serious for him.

We seem to be doing good here again after he has gone off with a penalty being awarded to us.

However going to the corner & getting a try should have been good for us at this point. We should be at 21 - 18 right now instead of 21 - 16.

IRFU have to talk to World Rugby about Barnes. His track record of bafflingly stupid decisions against Irish teams (national and provincial) is now at the point where serious consideration has to be given to wether or not he is allowed to ref Irish teams in the future.

They might have a word with the squad first. That's where the problem is today.

Farrell has no track record as head coach , nice guy , great player , but not the man to lead Ireland forwards , at best we have gone sideways since WC disaster

Lads, I think we can safely drop blaming Barnes for how the game is going for Ireland.
We're beating ourselves no doubt, don't think anyone will deny that. But as per usual Barnes still isn't afraid to lend a helping hand. It's as frustrating as it is predictable.

Sexton had a solid game bar that last kick.

Our six nations potentially in total disarray now, this couldn't have gone worse.

O'Mahony really has an awful lot to answer for and Murray, Earl's and VDF will have serious questions to answer.

Lowes poor defending cost us the 2 tries.

Looks full of beans in attack but not good enough to step up in defense.

I honestly don’t know what you expect him to do for the first try considering it was a two-on-one.

    First try is Ringrose’s fault.

Barnes is a terrible ref when it comes to ireland games, but this is on the players today. Murray, earls and POM have all coat us today.

Is boards gone screwy? Or are you watching on plus 1?

Some incredibly poor decisions from some of our most experienced players today is what's cost us. Hard to see 2 scores here.

Exactly. Murray, Sexton and POM have cost us badly today.

Farrell needs to drop the aging contingent that haven't performed well for him. Earls, Murray and Sexton are the obvious ones. POM has been ok but needs dropping purely for that idiotic red.

Well there's 10 minutes left and he's been on since the last Welsh score

Barnes not stopping play is a disgrace.
Unless someone calls it at this level you generally wont stop for players going down immediately.

They dont. To allege bias or anything else is rather pathetic.

This is really really poor. One of the worst half of Irish rugby I’ve seen. So many things wrong.

Strikes me if it 50:50 the ref favours Wales.

Barnes has been generally fine with odd dodgy decision. Our poor decision making and some braindead decisions have gifted a very poor Wales this.

Wales and England have gone backwards in comparison. France and possibly Scotland are the only teams that have gone forward since the WC. COVID has hardly helped anyone.

Mad taking a shot at goal

Harder to get back into the 22 than a long penalty
