I really don't understand why RTE don't help these people to get counselling and move on with their lives instead of using their misery as fodder for their programs. You really do have to wonder about their motivations.

No, hang on a minute Joe, he said what "you're trying to do". You rang him.
Stop trying to make out this is something that the caller is driving.
    Such irresponsible and dishonest broadcasting.

Rte love pushing misery just look at the line up daily

Ryan Tubridy Misery n suffering and woo me
claire byrne, misery covid and waffle
    Liveline misery and death
Ray Darcy more misery and sorrow and sighs

Then to cap off the start to the weekend you get the late late misery porn fest while every other channel is light entertainment or comedy of some sort

Una said yesterday it was 25 degrees and sunny. A quick fact check shows thats not the case. She could have been honest and said "To be honest joe its a bit chilly, but sure, I don't need my gloves when Im going down to the shop like I would need at home".

Una was in "Aren't I feckin great" mode and had to ring the national airwaves so everyone knows how feckin great she is, and to accentuate it she had to embellish her conditions a bit.

I have a feeling Una may have been ringing in from here
