    Agree,
same wannabe “free thinkers” are of the pro-Brexiters ilk - claiming they are immune to “propaganda” while swallowing it from dodgy Facebook pages, it’s as if they don’t actually understand what they are saying

On another note, McSavage could be making a bundle parodying J D alone this last year

Does anyone know what he’s up to now?

(I’m aware he comes from FF money, so probably doesn’t have to work)

Interesting point of view, the media companies bankrolled in ads by the government are less likely to bite the hand that feeds them so to speak.

Seems like Una and Frank might have been a doing a bit of an embellishing regarding the weather to suit their agenda and make people at home feel worse.

Sounds like it's pissing it down there.

Also there might be a part two to the saga if they have to go through mandatory hotel quarantine on the way back. Could be a daily feature.

Great to hear. Im glad for Una and Franks sake. Hopefully they wont need to use it.

Joking aside I sincerely hope nothing happens Una. She didnt mention having anybody with her over there or any friends over there. I would be really anxious if she was my mother.

Why would you be anxious ?
Do you think Spain is some kind of red zone like Chernobyl was in 1986 ?

She has next to zero chances of getting it if she spends her time out in the sun and doesn't get too close to people, which by the sounds of things she won't.

Would you shame people for spreading the flu ?
Surely you should to a lesser extent ??

The spikes at Christmas were inevitable, the virus is season plus humans will be humans, they need social contact, what do you think people should have done at christmas ?

Stay locked in their bedrooms ???

She is on her own. She has nobody to look out for her. Its not that easy to make new friends in these covid times you know.. Im sure she has to go to shops, pharmacy etc. She is in a vulnerable age group. We are not in normal times by any means. If people are flying in from god knows where she is not immune from covid.

Just looked at the COVID-19 visualizer for Finland and it states 46,493 total cases, 14,805 active cases, 688 deaths. Nothing worse than fake news, China now has lower infection rate than Finland with 1,411 active cases, Greenland has zero cases.

    Hilarious,
    Not on facebook.

Fact is response to this has been way over the top.

At what point do you start shaming people for spreading an illness ?
Since we never did before with respiratory illnesses , what is the death count that is too much ?

I have to say at this. point ( having seen Cats warning) that I love her light touch modding. I mean we constantly wander off topic but she knows like any auld dog we soon enough come back.

Ah people have been doing that since time immortal. I'd say there was plenty of typhoid Marys during this pandemic. I'm starting to think it's not a coincidence she was Irish. :pac:

I'd shame a person for spreading a potentially deadly illness very quickly, you wouldn't ? strange

You wouldn't have 2 years ago though, but the media have caused so much fearmongering and hysterics, RTE with their witch hunting at the airport is a good example,

The problem is the incompetent health service, it's just easier to finger point and blame people - even responsible travelers for all this.

fair enough , both sides have gone over the top, and the seriousness of it all is probably somewhere in the middle. I'd still air on the side of caution, but that's personal due to my parents age and health

Una: Its currently 25 degrees and sunny, Joe.

Oh Really Una, because google says its 15 degrees and wet.

Yeah if she gets sent to a quarantine hotel for two weeks I'd be positively gleeful.

Back in October I met a girl on tinder and we became an item. She dumped me just over a month ago, her reasoning being "She likes to go out and do things where as I like to stay home". I didn't say it at the time but I do like to go out and do things too, but in Level 5 lockdown theres not alot to go out and do, and all the advice is to stay the fock at home.

My sister pointed out to me she saw a status update from the ex, shes in Poland for a week. She was home in Poland at Christmas and she went to Italy in November. I told my sister about italy and my sisters reaction was "Thats just taking the pi$$". And no, she's not an essential worker, in case you were wondering.

I saw on the news about the guards starting to impose quarantine hotels. I wouldn't shop her to the guards, but I have to admit, I don't feel bad for being tempted.

Canary Islands are invariably cool this time of year. At best it's like a decent Irish spring. You need a cosy warm top & jacket if not scarf and overcoat.

My cousin, who has a house on a Med Island which is nice this time of season, hasn't been out in over a year. Fortunately neighbours are good and keep an eye. Just wouldn't risk it however she enormously deserves the break, being best person in the world and standing by so many folk.

I often go to Morocco this time of year. Bright and sunny and dry but gets fairly chilly at night. About 4 years ago I was there and decided i'd get into the habit of a swim before breakfast. The habit ended after only a single day because the water in the pool was about the same temperature as the sea water in the Forty Foot in Dun Laoighre on Christmas day.

This ferrous pool in Azores filled with thermal water. Brought my mother there in her final years when they operated direct flights one for one season during the boom. She found regular amusement, so to speak, watching activity in dat murky water.

Incredible. ! Posters now saying that “ weather not really great in Canaries anyway “ . People couldn’t possibly be enjoying themselves over there.

Una said yesterday it was 25 degrees and sunny. A quick fact check shows thats not the case. She could have been honest and said "To be honest joe its a bit chilly, but sure, I don't need my gloves when Im going down to the shop like I would need at home".

Una was in "Aren't I feckin great" mode and had to ring the national airwaves so everyone knows how feckin great she is, and to accentuate it she had to embellish her conditions a bit.
