Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I demand (respectfully request) that someone runs another one of these, soon - now that I've actually figured out how to play the bleddy thing! My God there's strategies to be mindful of on all sorts of levels!

Well done EN and horrible bad luck ShaneU, another last hurdle faller- the jeopardy in these games is rising to epic levels lately!

Congratulations Mr Nitwit, it's a good night for plucky underdogs to steal a win isn't it? :p
Hard luck to ShaneU on a very closely fought second place.

Many thanks to Rikand for running, great idea and made for a very fun Reveal....which, frankly, I think makes us all winners. :pac:

    Great fun, thanks Rikand.

Well done to EN and ShaneU.

I was reading the comments about systems, chewbacca and whatever else, and wondering wtf had I done.

I wrote the first answer that came into my head, discovered that in some cases I had used a letter twice, tweaked things a bit, and sent my list. :D

Btw, this thread has the most comments on it of any Sheep, Peehs, etc. game reveal since August 2019

No order, no permissions required, anyone can fire one up whenever they want

I do think, however, it's better to have a bit of a gap between them, and not have too many running at the one time, so they don't become oversaturated and overdone :)

    Python script? 🤓🤓

Coded in C# - Not by me lol. It was coded by someone over on the 2+2 forums where I used to play sheep and werewolf originally :)

The scorer is linked somewhere on forum games or it was but I can get the link again if it has gone walkies :)

Is that the first one of those that's been played?

Because an awful lot of you seemed to cop on a lot quicker to the pitfalls and traps of it than I did :o I had to basically be hit in the face with them before I realised.

Torture trying to put the list together first, and then torture trying to keep up and understand the nuances of the reval - genius!

    When's the next one?? :D

A HEEPS version of this could be interesting!

I get that this is SHEEP backwards, but I have no idea what it means in the context of how one would play the game :D Must investigate.

SHEEP - pick the most popular answer to score most points. Highest total points wins.
HEEPS - pick the second most popular answer to score most points. Most popular answer scores zero. highest total points wins.
PEEHS - pick the least popular/most obscure answer to score. Lowest total points wins.

Actually, PEEHS is SHEEP backwards and it's quite similar to the TV Show Pointless if you're familiar with that. It's very straightforward.

HEEPS is a headf*ck where you're trying to get the second most popular answer because those who SHEEP in HEEPS get 0 points.

    Edit: what Zaph said.

In the case of PEEHS, if you give a wrong answer, you are penalised by some multiple of the SHEEP answer! Otherwise, everybody would be aceing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,835 ✭✭✭ari101

Thank you all, I love Pointless but am crap at it ;)

So many future games to try my hand at (and become infuriated over :D )

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,173 ✭✭✭Declan A Walsh

One thing that hasn't been tried yet: EPSHE.

EPSHE - pick the second least popular answer to score. Most obscure answer scores a multiple of the SHEEP answer. Lowest total points wins. Same rules about incorrect answers.

    What do you think? :)
