At the risk of appearing cynical why else would you offer a loan to a pensioner other than to try to get their house off them.

These equity release loans disappeared off the market as they breached the Central Bank's 3.5 times income limit for mortgage lending.
They reappeared last October. In July 2019 it was reported that the Central Bank exempted them from the regulation following consultation with Finance Minister Paschal Donoghue

I absolutely HATE having my picture taken. I've been all around the world and to many historic and picturesque sights. I have about 4 photos of places with me in them.

So do I but still I'd like to have some momentos

That can be a bad thing too, I've a lot of regrets myself that I didn't take many pictures, imagine lookin at Victoria falls an not botherin yer hole to take a picture

I was in China about 2 years ago and took a shockingly low number of pictures. Despite bringing a camera and a top of the line phone.

As per the u.s veterans have learnt the philosophy of 'delay, deny, hope you die' is a frustrating and effective policy.

Played their part? It's 100% their own fault.

Ah we bailed out the banks.

Yes because people like your parents took out loans they couldn't pay.
