Here is a track i would like to get an ID on,

Apologies for the poor sound, it was recorded with voice recorder on mobile phone in car playing an old cassette tape, but if you know it you will pick it out no bother, this was one amazing tune that used to be played in the Olympic ballroom,

Bit of a long shot here but this one from Ed Burke's Stargazer tape has eluded me forever. Link should start at the right spot but it mixes in after Natural Born - Death Row (Frankfurt Beat) at about 58 minutes.

Sounds very Time Unlimited / Le Petit Prince or one of those labels but doesn't seem to be. Unusual little tune but a banger. Prob 95 or maybe 94.

Should have been asking back in the noughties when the Oldskool thread was in its pomp but missed the chance.

While we're at it this one from Fireball, mixing in at 26mins, "Blow Your Mind" vocal.... unreal.

    Answered this one elsewhere since...

Hi can anybody ID this 1996 spacey, Acid Trance, tune it's the first tune on the mix, starts off with a little Faithless style rap, but I don't think it's any of their tunes, you can just hear the loop from Neurodancer in the first few seconds.

    Thanks, anyway.

Yeah they are great pics with tunes to match. SSUP, Trade & NBN were my fav British club nights of this era.

Looking for an oldskool Acid House track that i had on cassette years ago.

I might still have it but cant find it and it was one of the most memorable tracks from that time that i never knew the name of.

Could be from pre 90's possibly.

Starts of with a chorus of violins from a classical piece and then into the main instrument that is used in it which is either and Oboe, Basoon, or Flute.

The Notes are from what sounds like a famous piece of classical music which starts with one long drawn out note, which then has a series of a short burst of notes after that, back into a drawn out note but that note is in a lower key than the previous one, then that is repeated for a third time in a lower key again, then back to the top and repeated.

While that series of notes from the Oboe or Basoon above is playing, there is a sample vocal playing over it, ‘woo… yeah’…’woo… yeah’ and so on.

In the mid point of the track, it then breaks into a piece with a classical guitar that opens with a vocal, ‘Everybody get funky’

The very end of the track when all the music has finished playing, there is a final male vocal that says, ‘Thanks and good night’

    Any ideas?

The oboe bit points me in the direction of Pacific State by 808 State.

Don't recall it having a classical guitar in it though

No its not that, know that well, TBH I never heard it outside of the cassette I had it on.

I was given it by a cousin of mine from Newcastle back around 1993, he used to travel England attending all the Acid House illegal Raves back at the very start of the 90's

From your description, I would guess at this from 1990

    WOW

I am amazed that from a description it was identified, that's the one, thank you so much.

I love that track so much and for the guts of 30 years have never know the name of it.

90s dance. "gotta let your mind and body be free" sped up female vocals.

    Yellow cover/label if I remember.

    Ring any bells?

Heard this song on YouTube, seems to be a re working of an old skool track.

Anyone any ideas what original track was. What it's sampled from or anything?

Looking for what sounds like a classic house track (Larry Heard-style early/mid 90s era at a guess)

Female vocal (comes through ages into it.... "hair is pressed, nails are done... I am the woman..." and then there's a vocal hook on "What do you want... what do you want from me"). Lovely keys solo in it, quite a long track.

That's all I've got, sorry, maybe it'll ring a bell with someone! Thanks!
