Monaco for me. It's what I associate with F1 when it was cool and the epitome of glamour. I know the names of more corners and bits of track in Monaco than all other F1 circuits combined (four). As iconic as the Crucible is, Monaco is the better venue.

It probably doesn't matter which wins here, they'll be trounced by Croker in the final, but ignoring that for now I'm going for Monaco. Let's face it, where would you rather be, in the sun in the south of France with all the beautiful people, or in the dark in a functional looking building in the far from exotic Sheffield? While there's no doubt that The Crucible is iconic as a snooker venue, in reality any indoor space capable of holding two tables and a few hundred spectators would suffice, whereas you could never replicate Monaco. Plus it has a much longer sporting history than The Crucible.

On looks as I've usually gone on itd be Monaco, but I really do love the quite tension of snooker, silent room bursting into applause and cheers and the odd occasion when something funny happens which gets the players laughing I find hilarious.

    The crucible for me
Hm. I was going to vote for Monaco because it's more iconic and dramatic and even more unusual, but feck it, I think this has swung it for me. They're both great venues, but I can't imagine the Monaco GP has much in the way of atmosphere, whereas the Crucible has you closer to the action than almost any other top sporting venue I'd say. So the Crucible for me.

Love Monaco, but not a huge F1 fan.
I am, and always have been a huge snooker fan and I would love to go to the crucible, so on that basis

    The Crucible

The crucible, one of few venues where you immediately link venue to the sport. You think snooker the crucible immediately comes to mind.

The Crucible because I'm looking forward to the day I whip the kids at a game of snooker & act like I'm some pro Bigshot in the local pool club

Can you break that down sloooowly please

Reasons not necessary cos its a forgone conclusion and no way there'll be a need for a tie break???

    It's fairly one-sided so far...

Tbh knowing nothing about sporting venues throughout the whole game, the last two in the final suit me perfect, being a Dub myself & liking snooker over any other sport lol

Nice end to the game :P

Whereas for me it's a hugely underwhelming final, even as a Dub, but with no interest in GAA. Doesn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the game though, it's been great fun.

Which two would you like to have seen go head to head?

Going to abstain. I nominated Croke Park for this because for a small country to have a stadium like that absolutely steeped in history. The Crucible is an absolute iconic venue with lots of history too never expected it to get to the final. Either would be an excellent winner

Underwhelming final . It was the matches that made the crucible not the venue.
Likewise I’ve been to a lot of matches where croke park wasn’t a great venue ... sure it has tonnes of history but it’s often large and soulless

    Skelligs for me
