I'm within 5km of Ringsend... can someone tell me the name of this chipper that's worth travelling 80km for? https://www.rte.ie/news/crime/2021/0114/1189771-29-people-fined-for-breaching-5km-limit-since-monday/

(kidding! I haven't been outside in a month)

why do they need computers at all when I can sell the government my tally sticks. All this computer stuff is just nepotism putting tally-stick providers out of business

The North's leaders want more cooperation with Dublin regarding a common travel policy.

It turns out Dublin has ignored pleas by Stormont.

More and more dripping out making the government looking like a calamity.

Stephen Donnelly ignored 4 letters sent by the North's Health Minister back in November.

    Shambles.

    Letters?

Do they not have the internet up there yet mr Hotmail?

Very easy to be compliant when you have no choice. If pubs are open we go, if retail is open we go. If everything is closed we can’t go.
I wouldn’t be patting ourselves on the back.

I have an antique abacus I'd willing to donate, they could use it to keep a tally on vaccinations.

Maybe I’m being dumb, and I didn’t get past the first paragraph of the article, mainly because the first article states the virus is passed from person to person by airborne transmission attached to droplets coughed, sneezed, breathed.

    What am I missing?

If you aren't a worker and aged between 59 and 64 you won't be offered the vaccine. That's me fecked. :-)

Noticed that too. I was looked to see when my parents would get theirs. Big omission.

Nothing, I stopped at the date. You got a paragraph further :) There's an anti-WHO agenda here for some reason, and I was calling it out as fake news.

I think 'airborne' by virtue of being encased in a droplet and the droplet floating in the air is not the definition of airborne.

The same way I believe we're not actually in a pandemic anymore. For quite some time.

A lot of laypeople - I am one myself obviously - get their kickers in a twist with such things. They have their idea what a certain term means and think someone is a covid-denier when they say otherwise.

But I'm no expert so please feel free to correct me on the above. In any case I wouldnt get excited about it. Things are what they are and definitions change all the time.

It was 50 / 50 all along really. Maybe there is 5g / bill gates/ lizard people thing going on and we need real truth seekers to guide the way. Who knows?

Who is still denying that it's airborne!!?

No seriously WHO is still denying that it's airborne.

    https://www.who.int/news-room/commentaries/detail/modes-of-transmission-of-virus-causing-covid-19-implications-for-ipc-precaution-recommendations

In spite of saying that masks are useful and staying in proximity to people is dangerous.

It boggles the mind. But this is the anniversary of when they said that there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission. Happy Anniversary!

Was just catching upon that HSE briefing there .
I find it annoying and staggering that that O' Connor lady is allowed to continue in her position, never mind brazenly to address the briefings ,after the way she castigated nurses back in first wave for " wasting PPE " when caring for non Covid patients !

These were patients who required close physical contact and many were later either infected or tested positive as would have only had symptomatic testing at that early stage .

But that is HSE management for you , put in a back room for a month or two until the stink dues down and then rolled back out again to be officious and more importantly to earn that fat salary , that could pay more than two highly qualified nurses who could have told her that her statements were not only wrong but dangerous .

This is the type of financial bloodsucking that needs to be cleared from HSE , topdown , and resources directed to those that time and again have proved their worth .
Too many clipboard and pen pushing managers with MBAs , instead of promoting from within the service , staff who know what is happening on the ground and what it is like to actually work in acute wards and services .

Working for a year or two in a very 9 to 5 service is something but obviously major gaps in ability to listen and learn from staff on the frontline in her case .

Help keep Boards going , subscribe or donate if you can.

First they came for the 59 to 64 year olds, and I did nothing...
