Trump will never run again , no matter what happens.

There isn't a chance that his ego could survive the risk of losing a second time , so he simply won't take that risk and go to his grave believing he was robbed.

If allowed he'll play along so he can keep his PAC open to bilk money off the gullible but when the time finally comes he'll make noises about how the system is so utterly corrupt that there's just no point blah blah blah and not run.

He'll keep all the donations of course , but he won't run.

Good analysis but I'm not sure how he will react to 2 years stewing under the one term president mantle. Especially as he convinces himself he was robbed.
Could he resist the campaign trail again if his health is good? Don't think he could campaign for anyone but himself.

Senators are members of congress. So good luck but ya failed with that attempted distraction.

In my opinion he has proven himself to be greatest President America ever had. He stuck to his word and was honest in everything he did and went on no regime change or illegal wars overseas. He is the toughman leader alot of countries aspire to have and never backs down. One mans hero is another mans villian however. An Alpha male leader who was surprisingly socialistic for a billionaire. If any of these yuppie liberals knew politics they could have seen Trump and the likes of George W. Bush were nearly polar opposites.

I wish our own politicians were as honest and kept their promises as good as Trump did. People might not have liked what he promised but he lived up to what he promised. He was not a politician of course but rather a businessman, give me a man of his word any day over the constant lies we get here.

Imo the Republicans are now in self preservation mode. When it comes to each individual that wants to maintain a future in politics they are going to look after themselves and their party.

Trump in not a republican he is an opportunist and if the republicans can ensure that they get the conviction of impeachment (not just the initial impeachment) and that leads to a barring of Trump being able to hold public office then why in gods name would they not do it?

If he does not get convicted there is a massive chance he will run as and independent and canibalise the republican vote.

In terms of electoral promises he did well, it resonates well with those down-trodden and sick and tired of big corporations and big government. I'm sure in a parallel universe somewhere Trump is actually a socialist.

Republicans introduce resolution to censure Trump
Republicans have introduced a resolution to formally censure Donald Trump for trying to overturn the election and encouraging “lawless action”.

The resolution, from representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, overlaps significantly with Democrats’ impeachment resolution – but rather than impeaching the president, the Republicans backing the resolution say they want to formally tell him off.

Unlike an impeachment, which will compel the Senate to vote on whether to convict and remove Trump from office, a censure is more symbolic.

The only thing I can say about this post is that I sincerely hope it's a poor attempt at trolling.

If you're being serious, then you need to take a long hard look at what you look for in a leader. Trump has debased the office of President of the US since the day he took office. He is an absolutely disgusting and loathsome individual and if that's the sort of person that you admire, then I'm glad that I don't know you.

More than 70,000,000 Americans voted for him.

    Seventy million!

You can't just brush them off as idiots.

Following on from a post from Overheal about the geo locations/Parker dump.

"Gizmodo has mapped nearly 70,000 geo-located Parler posts and on Tuesday isolated hundreds published on January 6 near the Capitol where a mob of pro-Trump supporters had hoped to overturn a democratic election and keep their president in power. The data shows Parler users posting all throughout the day, documenting their march from the National Mall to Capitol Hill where the violent insurrection ensued."

Biden Nominee, Kristen Clarke is Joe Biden’s pick to lead the Justice Department’s civil rights division.

In 1994, while at Harvard Clarke wrote a letter to the Harvard Crimson in her capacity as the president of the Black Students Association. Clarke wanted to explain her views on race science and that is what she did:

Clarke says "her job is simple, it’s to end hate..... ‘Melanin Endows Blacks With Greater’ Abilities..... where in history have we heard this type of talk before? But of course this is Joe's priority
    Not now lad

Your boy's about to be impeached for the second time in 15 months. The first time this has ever happened to an American president. You could say he's the greatest ever president at being impeached.

Most things on that list are marked as failed to deliver, the ones they have him having successfully completed I don't think are really anything much to shout about.

Dropped the biggest non nuclear bomb ever, OK. So what? That's hardly a major change in policy or having got some fantastic new law through.

Left the Paris climate agreement. Again, not really something to claim as a major achievement. Ripping up an agreement is much easier than having got people to agree to something, and Biden will be signed back up to it on the 21st January anyway so only 3 months of not being part of it.

You're right, not many Germans like Trump.
Highest the Nazis got in multi-party elections was 43.9%.

Mitch likely knows a lot more about what will come out regarding the attack and what they're worried that will happen over the next few weeks.

There is going to be trials and investigations where this will all be drip fed out over the next year or so. There is a calculation to be made here that by voting to remove they can get on the 'right' side of this and not have their party and legacies tied to Trump as closely as it will if they don't get rid of him (even at this late point).

Mmmmm, a cabal of rats, snakes and weasels trying hard to look like they're doing the right thing now, in order to save themselves.

The entire lot of them should be ousted from politics completely, without pension and the luxuries it provides for their former "work".

    Scumbags.
