38 they said which I find pretty incredible tbh, it doesn't seem right.

I thought that’s what they said but I can’t believe it’s that high.
Maybe that’s for the season so far?

Personally I think it’s Arsenals to lose now

Whoscored saying 38 giveaways in 77 minutes a record this season.

As a United fan i am delighted we are up near the top but i think City are favourites to win the league. They have seemed to hit a bit of form and there next 6 games they should be picking up 18 points. The league is absolutely crazy this year tho and anything can happen

Yeah I see city picking up a straight 18 now I think united made a mistake looking for the burnley match to be played next week too Wednesday, Saturday, Tuesday is going to be tough.
Could be plenty of rotation though in some games

A yellow is insignificant though? I really don't see evidence that Mane for example getting aggressive led to any significant poor play from him tonight.

I recall plenty of elbows, kicks and even flying into a crowd from players I personally regarded as hero's in the past that had big consequences for the players and the team.

In terms of the Liverpool side, that aggression and drive is a key part in what leads to games like Liverpool overturning the three goals v Barca. The time it leads to a yellow card or a foul is no real issue to me.

Im not saying it was the cause of it all but an example with both Mane and Robertson i think it was, both on the end of niggling challenges from Southampton and both made challenges back in retaliation and gave away free kicks. This allowed Southampton time to regroup and get the ball down.

Agreed, when we look at the table after 6 more games, City really should be clear at the top, even though they are 5th currently.

Can see 11 chances against Watford in the cup game. Should be enough to beat them

Even in Utds prime under Fergie when we were winning back to back titles and quite obviously the best team in the country we weren't seeing crap like the above after 17 games.

Its sad to see people attempting to downplay their own chances just in the hope that in 5 months time they can laugh at someone who is clearly inferior/less experienced than them. I mean Utd arguably aren't even the best team in Manchester! How could it possibly be that "it's ours to throwaway" when we are currently not even top

Beat Liverpool for a 6 point lead at the top.

And still I wouldn't have money on them to win the league, strange season.

Tbf lads neither utd or Liverpool are gonna win the lge, City now must be strong favourites

Yep, of which we're not even halfway through.

I'll enjoy Ole's latest step forward, but the inevitable two steps back will come. "Fourth by February" keeps repeating in my head.

City are 10/11, pool 11/4 and Utd 6/1

Whatever about AWB's flaws as a full-back, you feel it would be a lot easier to coach him to be a bit more creative in an attacking sense then it would be to teach TAA to defend. And doing so may blunt TAA's attacking effectiveness in the long-run.

Cant wait for us to win about 8 games 1 nil with dodgey decisions. Then watch as the others blow up.

All depends on who can find a bit of consistency and momentum really, which has been shifting fairly constantly this season. Sure only 10 days ago lads were absolutely positive no-one other than Liverpool stood a chance and the league was already over.

Think we'll see a fair few twists and turns over the next few months.

Spurs were looking good a short time ago, even Leicester.

If liverpool can manage to get their swagger back it could be a great battle between the top 2 sides.

Who thought that, Liverpool haven't looked great in a long while .

That was my own point... especially the horrendous away form.

I cant believe the greatest ever collection of players to win a title since 1895 are doing so poorly, it's hard to fathom that a few injuries, which most teams deal with easily, has derailed them. The players Klopp bought, will he ever play them or are they destined to be card board cut outs making up the numbers on the bench?

If Klopp cant turn this poor run around, how long will he last? He has set such high standards in the last 12 months, liverpool Fans are sure to get antsy. At this trajectory its looking like a mid table finish.

I hope pool can turn it around as Utd need someone to spur them on at the top.

It was pathetic when the United fans were at it and it's just as pathetic now.

Yes its just as pathetic saying a team that was 10+ points ahead will win compared to a team in 2nd

    :pac:

Liverpool just had there easiest run of fixtures on paper of the seasons from the 28th of November to last night,
Picked up wins against Wolves, Spurs & Palace failed to beat Brighton, Fulham,Westbrom, Newcastle, Southampton

Its just not good enough to retain the title, they have much harder fixtures now until the end of Feb ,

United have Burnley , Liverpool , Fulham and Sheffield United a huge chance for them to make a break away from Liverpool but I expect City to be neck and neck with United ,
