    They control aggression properly tho.

Like Liverpool do, aggression is there on the good, bad and in between days.

I can recall many days where players and managers overdid the aggression in a way that harmed their team but not from this Liverpool group.

Are you suggesting the aggression is causing a negative result? I don't see evidence of that.

In fairness, their owners were probably very invested in contributing to the unfolding crisis in Yemen.

I might grumble about Liverpool this or Man Utd that, but City...just no no noooooo.

Nah sh1t play caused that result but a player or manager losing his head in the final minutes is not helpful. That klopp yellow card a few weeks ago thats not controlled aggression.

Yeah just the 21 games for Liverpool to make up that gap (which is currently zero) - yawn

Thought Marriner had a good game as refereeing goes.
He didn’t fall for any shenanigans.

They will go top against Burnley and I can't see them getting caught from there.

This is what I don't get. Minamino has looked solid the last few times he's played. Yet Klopp never wants to play him. Mane couldn't control the ball the whole game and Salah was poor throughout yet Klopp refuses to sub them. I'd trust Klopp in the long run but he does seem to make some utterly silly decisions at times.

Nat Phillips has looked ok yet he also decided to start his two holding midfielders ahead of him at CB. He seems stubborn to a fault. He decided he has no CB's so he wont start the one he has. He has his front 3 he simply can't change them (until Jota literally forced himself into contention) so Minamino and Origi cant get on the pitch.

It makes his complaints about schedule/injuries a bit hollow when he randomly appears to just not use/rotate the fit senior players he DOES have.

Not so sure. He let an awful lot go for Thiago in particular
He could have easily been sent off considering his fouls accumulation
Especially in the first half and the start of the second
    Liverpool got lucky there

If it was after game 37 maybe. United have little space between them and the teams below and have not even got ahead of Liverpool yet. That is only Liverpool's second loss of the season.

It is fair to say Liverpool have faltered compared to the previous two seasons but no side is in a position to feel they have anything set up for them. 7 teams within 4 points of each other and Villa in 8th have one or two games in hand on those above.

Maybe you got used to Liverpool blowing the majority of the league aside over last two seasons? Top or even a couple of games within a leader is perfectly fine at this time of year when you have a team with known quality.

Can't make fun of someone bottling the league if you don't hype them up as definite winners first :p

We may go ahead if we beat Burnley, but I'd still put as as the heavy underdogs. Pool and City have the experience of winning it now. It's still theirs to lose.

He booked him after about 10 minutes? After that Thiago had 2 fouls against, I think. If referee's sent off players for that level of fouling there'd be 2 or 3 players off in every game.

What did you make of Walcott's two footed studs-up lunge on Milner? Wasn't even given as a free. Do you reckon Southampton got lucky with that one?

Yes I forgot about that. He was lucky.

Any opinion on Walcott's studs up tackle on Milner? Mariner told Milner to get up despite him being taken out by a two footed studs up tackle. Then you have Stephens literally holding Salah in a rear naked choke in front of the assistant ref and getting nothing.

Best thing Liverpool could hope for is a nice 2 month break for Covid and re group.

How many times did TAA give the ball away tonight?

It's between Liverpool and city still for me.

I maybe give City slight edge at this moment but they still got sure that form they showed yesterday for much longer.

Gun to the head I will go
    1. City
    2. Pool
    3. United
    4. Spurs just ahead of Leicester

    EVENFLOW

He was awful. Not to mention the goal itself.
Take nothing away from the finish but TAA should be getting to that ball

Why, do you feel Man Utd are a better team at the minute?

Personally I think it will be Man City to win the title.
There is along way to go to the end, however I appreciate the support.

A yellow is insignificant though? I really don't see evidence that Mane for example getting aggressive led to any significant poor play from him tonight.

I recall plenty of elbows, kicks and even flying into a crowd from players I personally regarded as hero's in the past that had big consequences for the players and the team.

In terms of the Liverpool side, that aggression and drive is a key part in what leads to games like Liverpool overturning the three goals v Barca. The time it leads to a yellow card or a foul is no real issue to me.

As a United fan i am delighted we are up near the top but i think City are favourites to win the league. They have seemed to hit a bit of form and there next 6 games they should be picking up 18 points. The league is absolutely crazy this year tho and anything can happen
