    Hey.

So the Christmas indulging was a rather good that add pounds that I really didn't need to add

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reliable online calculator or excel formula that I could calculate my BMR and how many calories I would need to drop from my diet in order to create a calorie deficit?

I have seen some online, but not really sure how reliable they are.

I'm looking to lose about 25 kg. The weight is mainly carried around my middle. A big part of my problem is my sweet tooth and an inclination for the auld takeaway:D. I know I can do this as I've previously lost 1.5 stone just by cutting these things out and getting out walking but my progress really slipped with the lockdown.

Once the Christmas/New Year period is over and I'm back to my routine of work I want to start tackling the weight issue and get it shifted and start increasing muscle tone.

This one is adaptive and should be as accurate as any out there.

As a pure calculator, it lacks input options around activity, bf%, etc to get an accurate TDEE.

But as a tracking/eat-this-much tool, I imagine it's actual superior as it links what you think you're eating with what it tells you to eat.

Have you looked at My Fitness Pal? You can set a target there once you know your BMR.

Post 12 of the sticky at the top. https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=50956807&postcount=12 I just built this into a spreadsheet, so I could adjust as my weight changed.

Alternatively, https://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ gave me similar to what the formula gave me, last time I checked.
