DvdB is far from out of it. The beauty of set play.

The standard in this match is absolutely ridiculous. Great match and DvdB is not done yet.

The classic hands in the pocket celebration from Dimitri.

Probably the lack of the crowd?

The match has turned here, I think DvdB wins it out now.

Chisnall seems to be getting a bit frustrated with the lenght of time DVDB is taking at times.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,462 ✭✭✭Bob Harris

I dont understand why Mardle thinks a flat dart in the 20 an inch under the double is awkward. He never fails to say it and yet there is a clear path to the double.

    Standard is amazing.

If this was Taylor v MVG the Sky hype would be through the roof!

No fights between He-Man and Mario to distract the players this year.

I can’t be the only one playing yaya/kolo and feed the stands chants on YouTube during the games to make it feel more festive am I??

Vdb has done well to keep the head and wait for his time to come.

I wonder is that his purple patch over now though?

He knee-ded it to continue another few legs.

Looks like we might be bracing ourselves for a deciding set here

This leg where vdb missed 5 darts at double 12 is cruciate

Pressure switch has been well and truly flicked.

For a chap with a gammy knee Dimitri is doing a lot of walking. Must be trying to get to 10,000 steps on his fitbit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,550 ✭✭✭bassy

    2 CHOKERS,mvg would destroy either............................................................

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,536 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

He limped over the line in the end

I don't see Chisnall beating MVG after watching that

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,997 ✭✭✭boomdocker

    Ffs

The commentators were saying it was physically draining, I was thinking if they stopped walking away so far before throws and also it's darts not a marathon..

Must be mentally draining alright !!

Mixed views on the crowds myself.

Definitely adds spectacle and tension, but there's no way the earlier games would feel as big as they have this year with an arena full of disinterested fans.

Hard people to impress on here.

    102 average, 50% doubles.
    He played fantastic.

He did, no doubt about that.
But I think DvdB would have given MvG a tough game in the QF
We'll see, maybe Chizzy will prove me wrong, but for all his heavy scoring I can't see him finishing in a pressure match
Happy to be proved wrong though
