    That or ledger issues.

Hopefully the former, always good to see/hear of someone doing well.

Hopefully indeed, but sadly I suspect the Ledger thing might have more to do with it. Maybe there was some info in his post history which made it possible to connect his boards account to the Ledger list.

I honestly don't know anymore, people have been anticipating a dip/crash since $9k since around May/June but it's just been a steady climb all the way. And there's still not much media frenzy and FOMO overall. Genuinely does feel like it's mostly pushed by institutions or very high net worth individuals who are just devouring the supply

Once it hit $1k (which was the previous ATH) again in late 2016 - the point in the cycle which many compare where we are currently - it didn't really retest that level again but just continued on up over 2017 until $19k, and then came back down to $3k

Anyone thinkin XRP could be a place to park some cash when it bottoms? Id say theres serious gains to be made there once the current situation clears a bit.

Hi folks. First time post here.
I put some money in 4 cryptos just exactly at their peak in 2017. I guess there was some hype due to peak that drew me in.

Anyhow, my funds became worth so little that I have just left them there and pretty much lost interest.

Now of course I am getting interested again 😀 and looking a steer from some of you experts.

I split my investment 4 ways equally
Btc, eth, ltc and dash. Some are coming back at last but what do you think is possible.
Some of the ltc coins were Christmas gifts to my adult kids - just one each. They are worth less than 50% what was paid. They are asking should they cash them in now or hold on

Definitely hold on, I’d say with a high degree of certainty that each of those 4 coins will be worth more in 6 months than they are now. Prices have been rising steadily (maybe exponentially) for the past 6 months, and if you listen to the voices in the space the cycle is only just picking up.

No one really knows TBH. But if it was me I’d dump Litecoin and Dash and swap them for Bitcoin (if you draw a line ranking them from “gambling” to “investment”, Litecoin and Dash are definitely closer to gambling than Bitcoin and Ether are - which doesn’t mean you can’t win but this is not what I’d recommend if the goal is to hold medium to long term).

Honestly I wouldn’t be in a rush to do this right now. After Bitcoins recent rise and altcoins, well, not rise, I see more value in alts, at least in the short term. Agree long term though.

This is painful reading, from one ATH right in to another with no accumulation in between during the multiple huge buying opportunities that would've brought your average price much lower

Anyway, definitely tell them to just hold onto them for the next year or so at least

What happened Bitcoins brother BCH? Doing terrible. Back in 2017 it was flying and looking to be the next best thing. Sadly that never materialized.

It was riding the insanity along with pretty much everything else.

This bull seems more cautious (and slower) in comparison, which could be better for sustaining value come the inevitable slide.

No one knows. Could keep rising, could go into another slide. If it's just a small amount then I wouldn't bother cashing out.

Never really set itself apart from Btc apart from saying it was the real bitcoin.
People dont wanna hear a sob story first time you meet about what bitcoin was supposed to be and was hijacked etc, they just want short quick one liners. Bch crowd still dont get that, they forked the guy who created the coin off last month and think it's a serious win for all mankind

all I'll say is TSLA was sued in 2018 by the SEC and everyone thought that was it for them

Very different scenarios and in any case it was Musk sued by the SEC.

Smart call imo. No fan but they will pay a max of a few million in a fine and the market cap got dropped by...$13b? Dumb as fcuk.
They will get approved as a security. This price drop was as dumb as CDPR's (for those following failed game releases). It may hit $0.20 again in a flash crash but it will hit $0.50 again on the upswing, easiest money ever made.

The FUD on this is the dumbest **** seen since ETH's state change, and I don't even like this yoke.

probably the ledger leak, better safe than sorry. I'd actually advise anyone on the list that has a meaningful amount on a ledger to delete online accounts and make new ones. youd be surprised how much information you leave on public forums and all it takes is a leak to tie all together.

That is...probably smart but very excessive. Gambling.

Don't be a dick with your funds.

    Brave and interesting move.
    How much has it dropped?
When are you going to buy?

It's dropped by over 50% (ten billion wiped off the market cap) based on a fine that will be a few million.

Stupidest market move in many years.
