How anyone doesn't know that that account is pure parody is a truly scary thing.

As pointed out above, while the account is parody the articles it posts are real.

I think crews referred to him as Sir King Bensley.

Wait, is it now considered “woke” for those with doctorates be referred to as doctor?

I don't think it's considered woke, but as was pointed out earlier, there is the unwritten rule that the title is reserved for MDs and not academics in other disciplines. The one I find is that this so called woke brigade, on Twitter, usually have PhD after their name on Twitter, usually followed by their pronouns.

Never heard that. Given she worked in education, it is very common to have academic titles used. It's the norm in fact.

Titania is a forward thinking counter culture wokephobe.

As a unit of confined solidarity we can finally put a stop to her antisocial pedantic prophecies and leanings, together we can mismanage her aspersions.

Technopaganism is a modern philosophic quagmire poisoning the minds of our children, neighbours and our polarised cultural oppressors.

There is no middle ground now.

“Older populations are whiter, ” Harald Schmidt told the New York Times. “Society is structured in a way that enables them to live longer. Instead of giving additional health benefits to those who already had more of them, we can start to level the playing field a bit.”

He may be correct in saying that health care workers should be vaccinated first, but for completely the wrong reasons.

Health care workers who are vaccinated are less likely to be carriers, thus protecting more vulnerable people.

To bring in race to a purely medical issue, is wrong on all counts.

made me laugh , fun that it will be hitting the class of people that are the most woke (at least in public)

There is currently no support for this statement.
The new vaccines will probably prevent you from getting sick with Covid.
No one knows yet whether they will keep you from spreading the virus to others — but that information is coming.

The richer the student body the more woke and radical left it is.

I remember a time when being left wasn't a signifier of class wealth

54k a year tuition fee for a primary school, no wonder they are so woke

Whackos have been doing this throughout history. Indoctrinate and brainwash the children and in 10 or 15 years you will have your own personal army.

Whatever happened to common sense and good manners? Is that still a thing or am I that old now? That is has all been replaced by this BS we know now as being Woke? How soft younger generations are becoming. They are ruining their own future and yet blaming the past how distorted it is in their eyes. And all the media on the bandwagon for ratings. There will be no end to it now.

Common sense must give way when people are increasingly becoming more sensitive to criticism, and/or perceived offensive behavior.

Dunno if it's that younger generations are becoming soft. I've found a lot of people my own generation (mid 40s) are buying into this attitude of being offended, and showing less patience towards others.

It won't end until there is a major pushback, but I don't really see that happening for another decade or more. It will become a lot worse, before it starts to become better.

Black people must’ve been the only oppressed people ever?

They weren't really. In America the Chinese were oppressed and exploited into building the railroad system. The Irish coming off the boats were enlisted in the Union army on arrival during the Civil War.

Both we’re paid, in some form. Cant really compare that to black slavery.

Is that why all the mixed race couples in advertising and TV shows are a black/brown man with a white woman and never the other way around?
There seem to be a few reasons for this. Black women are nearly as "invisible" as White men in the woke narrative and certainly in the wider culture reflected in marketing. African American women commentators on this sorta thing have long noted this. While in that culture the Black man is both feared and fetishised in about equal measure the Black woman is either not present or a figure of fun. Hell, you even see this in US produced porn. Look for interracial and it's almost entirely Black bloke with as White a women as possible. Black women are also seen as less "saleable", less "attractive" than White women when selling to a majority White audience. They're perceived as less attractive full stop. Even famous Black women are regularly photoshopped to have paler skin and when was the last time you saw a Black women in the media with her natural afro hair? White men are of course the oppressor/coloniser stand in so him being seen with a Black women would be grating for some. Also a White woman with "jungle fever" is more palatable than the other way around. So a couple where he's White and she's Black wrinkles noses on a few levels and that's mainly why you don't see them in my humble.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

They're the most oppressed because it happened in the US. The millions working on colonial plantations or such in Asia, or S.America don't count because they weren't brought into a western nation. As such, everyone else gets a back seat in claiming victimhood. That slavery and oppression existed long before white people appeared in Africa, or pretty much everywhere, doesn't matter. It only matters that there are African Americans in America today.

He’s pretty intolerant of viewpoints that challenge his, for all his posturing. My tweet that he initially took issue with was really quite mild. I was surprised at his response.

When I was on Twitter, before I got sense ;) I had a to and fro with him over Brexit (I can't remember the exact point, it was nearly two years ago) and he was nothing but patient and courteous!

It won't end until there is a major pushback, but I don't really see that happening for another decade or more. It will become a lot worse, before it starts to become better.

It's weaponised "offence". It's just a method of closing something down before it snowballs to a point where a person has to adjust their ideas and thought processes. It just a debate tactic and one that's easily negotiated by saying "Fine, you're offended".

The problem here is not that people are using a particular method to offset an argument, it's that being wrong has somehow become the most abhorrent thing one can be. This isn't helped, of course, by others employing another conversational tactic, the falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus method, whereby, the accusation of being wrong once means that you're wrong in everything else.

Being wrong is a natural state of being. I'd say we're wrong about 80% of the time, either in part or in whole. But that's how we learn. The thing is you have to allow yourself to learn from mistakes and that's the real trick.

Of course, certain views are no longer tolerated and shouldn't be, like racist ones, because A. they're baloney and B. we have ample evidence of where such thinking can lead and it ain't pretty. So, there's rightfully a lid placed on that type of hair brained gibberish.

Being "offended" is an easy conversational tactic to employ, but as said earlier, it's also easy to get around. If you're offended, you're offended. Now what?

Mmmm...quite often I've found that those who constantly rail against "wokeness" are one's that get quite het up themselves over the mildest of disagreements.

Frankly, I don't know who's worse. The so called "woke" crowd or the ones that constantly bleat on and on about it.

So if I recall, he posted an article by some journalist where she said that little girls who weren’t into girly things were way less boring. My response was a comment on the article, not him. It was along the lines of “Oh, that’s weird judging kids in that way” because I do think it’s kind of strange to write off tiny humans as boring or not based on the things they are into. He was straight in saying “That’s that writer’s PREFERENCE, I find it weird that somebody’s opinion would upset you”. Me: “I’m not upset. This person wrote an article for public consumption and I, a member of the public, am flapping my gums about it”. Him “Yes, but why get upset about somebody’s preference?” and it went on like that back and forth for a while. I did say I thought it was would be pretty odd for an adult to have a rigid preference for how they like children to act. :D I believe I was blocked not long after that.

But anyway, I thought his response was a bit disproportionate. I mean, why feckin’ comment on anyone’s expressed opinion in that case? And the idea that I was upset by the journalist’s article. I wasn’t, I was just commenting on it.

I’ve seen him block people for saying that he only really has one joke. That joke can be frequently funny but they’re kinda right there. It’s kinda mean to say that to him but I guess I expect comedians to be way more thick-skinned than that.
