Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Idiotic of sexton to go for points, even if he got it now is the time to be working on our attack play, if we don’t practice and get this stuff right now when are we going to?

We've started well but yet again we've nothing to show for it. POM shouldn't have kicked in Scotland's 22 and Sexton should've kicked a relatively straightforward penalty.

    These penalties will kill us.

Personally think it was the right call. Ireland need to win the match. It was a poor kick. Also disturbed to hear Shane Horgan (on Amazon Prime) say it was at the outer limit of Sexton's range!

The lion's share of possession......and we're down on the scoreboard....again.

    It's 15 minutes in and 3 - 0 lads calm down

More fuel for the Stockdale-not-a-fullback fire.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,188 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Poor from Stockdale. Under no real pressure but forced the turnover unnecessarily.

That was as much a turnover by Earls as the last one was.

We don’t need to win this match as it’s a meaningless game. And you don’t win matches by kicking penalties. Maybe against Mickey Mouse teams you can, but you think that would work against the likes of nz and South Africa?

    Kelleher isn't the problem lads.

Something has gone drastically wrong with coaching at set piece.

  • Registered Users Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

I am not overly optimistic about the prospects for this game.

    Lineout!!! Disappointing, but we've escaped.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,830 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Execution of simple basic skills letting us down.

Doris ruck, Stockdale pass, and that lineout looked over cooked

Taking your points is almost certainly how you win against Big teams. Would you be making this argument if we kicked to the corner and got turned over?

We probably can’t afford to get rid of Farrell can we?
    I mean financially obviously
This should always have been Leo Cullen and Stuart Lancaster as backs coach. Different gravy

Our opposition are more dangerous on our lineout than we are...

That last one they barely lifted Henderson. The entire set piece is ****e and it’s not just on the thrower.

Sexton injured yet again, how he thinks he’ll make it to the next World Cup, delusional.

We do need to win this considering how year has went and you most certainly do win games by kicking penalties.

He certainly is a major part of the problem. Coaching may be an issue but his throwing is terrible.

This is a coaching issue for set piece.

Really poor stuff all over the park from Ireland so far. Don't know if any element of our game is working.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,861 ✭✭✭✭mfceiling

Healy with about 4 mistakes in the first 18 minutes. He's having a nightmare.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,496 ✭✭✭Paul Smeenus

Healy is having an awful day

Its akin to watching a bunch of journey men - we are at sea and look utterly down trodden in our body language so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Is anything done on set pieces at training? Our set piece is a complete and utter crap shoot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,054 ✭✭✭D.Q

That whole coaching ticket needs to go.

Somehow we've become a team that can't ruck can't scrum and can't get our own ball back on our lineouts.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,641 ✭✭✭Dog Botherer

Healy is insanely lucky Kilcoyne is injured

Right now it's looking like Scotland will beat us by kicking penalties.

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,830 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Murrays box kicks have lost a half second hang time, they seem to die quickly

  • Registered Users Posts: 471 ✭✭Piehead

How long do we have to persist with Farrell before the IRFU dump him? Surely we need to be building to the next WC not having to wonder why the head coach is seriously below par. Just admit it was a monumental F up appoint a rugby league man with no experience at Head Coach and get rid

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,805 ✭✭✭accensi0n

The ball went straight to the back of the scrum, why not just whip it out to Sexton instead of waiting around to see which way a 50/50 penalty goes?

  • Registered Users Posts: 448 ✭✭eastie17

Why just boot it away with pen advantage?
