They completely nailed the Toy Show, got the sentiment totally right and given the last year.

And the Tubridy fcuk meme is going to get plenty of use.

Also agree on the Mandalorian - best episode of the show to date by a margin. As a big heir to the empire fan
was great to hear Thrawn coming into it.

Also suspect we may see a younger actor cast as Luke Skywalker later this season or early next.
As a massive fan of The Clone Wars and Rebels I really really enjoyed this episode. Dave Filoni just knows this world so well.
As for Thrawn, they need to get Lars Mikklesen and paint him blue. Can't wait.

Waterford with one of the greatest second-half comebacks in hurling. Incredible.

Very few toys on last night's show which made it odd. Think they did a good job considering, and raised a wad load of cash for good causes too. Hope they keep that bit when we're back to normal

Theory is that they deliberately avoided pushing tous that a lot of people will find it much harder to finance this year to focus on the feelgood.

NASA trending on Twitter. It's about Adam. It's all too much for me. I'm in bits,............ again.

I don't have a lot of skin in the game when it comes to Hurling beyond the wife being a *very* proud Tipp supporter, but that was an unreal display. One of the best games of anything I've watched this year.

Tomorrow should be fun as well. Limerick are favourites but Galway are no slouches.
I don't think any team sports comes close to hurling at its best.

Totally agree, tbh; I'd watch the championship matches, but would still be a pretty casual supporter, but hurling seems to churn out more crackers at the top tier than most other sports, for whatever reason.

Some comeback from Waterford in fairness, didn't see it happening at half time. You occasionalyl see a team get to parity or close, but not quite able to eek out a lead beyond that with all the effort it's taken. Credit to Waterford, they kept pushing on. Fingers crossed for another belter 2moro.

I fully concur that rock is the best medicine.

I wonder what you mean by this? For someone who has banned all talk of schools rugby this is a flagrant abuse of position. If it’s the Rock with 69 trophies and almost 100 years in political power I doubt you are very in touch with reality. If it’s the ROCK written by Paul Howard then I excuse you for this gaffe. If it’s a reference to Tubridy then I ask you - how can someone who earns 450,000 a year be a genuine socialist and in touch with reality? In essence they are hypocrites who things both ways and to rule over people from their affluent ivory towers.

^^ Some people are plain weird.

As an aside RIP Darth Vader.

I knew what you meant, awec. :)

What he meant and what he said are two entirely different things. That is the epitaph of hypocrites. He spoke subconsciously and spellcheck doesn’t bring up rock in the place of craic. In short there are no mistakes

Surely this is a clear endorsement of how successful they are and therefore are indeed the best medicine?

I can see why awec feels as he does based on that.

Ever heard of monopolies? In essence they are thought to be bad for the consumer in this instance the rugby fan or the electorate. All sorts of distortions, abuses and corruption can occur. In this case Awec is in a position of power and endorsing his alma mater while neutering opinion of other posters from competitors endorsing theirs. It’s an abuse of a dominant position in the market and under antitrust law in the States or Competition law in the EU it would be punished. No such luck for us poor saps in Ireland. We get steamrolled and no repercussions.

I actually think awec is good for the consumer under current market conditions

Maybe if you stopped going to Blackrock SCT games it wouldn't happen so much.

Soccer is at least a decade behind other contact sports when it comes to head injury protocol. 15 minutes ago David Luiz and Raul Jiminez clashed heads at a corner kick. Jiminez went out like a light and it took 10 minutes to safely remove him from the pitch. Yet David Luiz, who also seemed pretty badly hurt, has been allowed play on. Seems negligent from Arsenal's medics and coaching staff.

Edit: He definitely hasn't recovered from the head knock. Not challenging for anything with conviction. And is now actually bleeding through the bandages the Arsenal doctor applied earlier. It's a disgrace he's been allowed stay on.

It just highlights how often the head comes into contact in rugby over other sports.
