As much as I don't like Conor he is just way to good on his feet for Dustin
Dustin is hit way to easy and Conor will ping him all over the shop

Im usually fairly certain how a McGregor fight goes but this one is tricky. Conor could either finish him inside a minute or he could finish him in round 2.

Ring rust is real and so is elite level cardio. These are probably the two biggest obstacles for Conor.

You can certainly make improvements to Cardio in 2 months but any half decent competitve amateur athlete knows it needs to be worked on year around and maintained. How much Conor has been doing the last couple of years will be very telling.

Timing is also something that needs to be maintained and honed. We saw after his long lay off prior to the Khabib fight, That Conors timing and precision was not there, and he was not at peak condition. He has had an even longer lay off this time around.

Depending on how much Conor can make up these two things in camp is anyones guess. Definitely on his day he can beat anyone in the lighter weight divisions. But its really what kind of shape he will arrive in which will be the key dictator in the fight imo.

I understand what your saying and of course its true,

Just one small thing its actually less time out this time around
Two years between MMA fights Alvarez & Khabib and 14 months between Mayweather and Khabib , This fight is 12 months after Cowboy

You a right there, I actually forgot about the Donald Cerrone fight. It happened and was over very quickly then, then nothing again again for an extended period.

    Thanks for the correction!

To be fair he want the Justin & Ferguson fight but the UFC where holding out thinking Covid would pass as they didn't want to "waste " a Conor fight with no fans due to the money he makes them ,

That why he retired due to the frustration

By the sounds of thing he kept the foot on the pedal training wise for most of the year,

News on Conor has been pretty tame this year, by his standards. If he's been itching to get back in the ring, I would say he's put some effort in. Not much else to do but train most of the year anyway.

Fight is now offical. What's important know is Dana stop his pipe dream of having Khabib back so soon and has a title fight ready to go for the winner of this fight.

Khabib is insisting again and again that he is retired so no need to hold up the division.

Quite surprising Dana isn't making this for the 155 belt. No stand out contenders in the picture. Seems like the title on the line would be worth extra PPV buys to him which is usually all he cares about.

Khabib will fight the winner and retire.

He's said more than once now that he won't fight again. I'd be fairly confident he doesnt, no mater how much that clown Ali says he will.

    He's gonna batter Dana

The game always ends with the boss battle.

Khabib has beaten both of them already. Would he have any interest in fighting them again? McGregor maybe, because it’ll be a big story, big payday & he hates him, so might want to smesh him again. Poirier not a hope.

If he does go for 30-0, there seems to be a lot of talk about GSP.

Dana said in the presser on Saturday that he was due to meet with Khabib soon and have a chat with him to see what his plans are. I would imagine if they meet this week and Khabib reaffirms that he is retired then we will see McGregor v Poirier announced for the title.

Any idea when the venue will be announced or if theres any chance of a decent time for this to be on (like UFC 254)?

I'm sure it'll be announced as a title match at an upcoming ppv
