Caller I've a feeling the real annoying thing is a little closer to home

FFS, surely Duffy and this caller realise patients are triaged for clinics, if it was possibly "terminal", they would not be waiting

Occasionally, sadly, they can miss serious cases by bad triage, but largely, yes, you will be seen to quicker if it's more urgent.

    "I've only one voice"

Feels like a lot more than one voice.

    Call waiting, I'm out.

Can her G.P. not request an urgent appointment for her. Deirdre... ??? I taut she was Rachel ??

Edit: I dozed off when Rachel was speaking. Somedays all callers sound the same.

There is a national neurosis here which is fed in large part by the national broadcaster and its fixation with pain, misery and disease

WTAF was that "like you've won a holiday in Lanzarote" analogy supposed to mean in the context of medical care?

This woman is actually a good advertisement for privatised healthcare, paying is a good way for filtering the BS

I'd say the doctors duck down when they see her coming.

I have always thought teachers should be uber careful with things like that. When I was 19 I found my old economics teacher on a dating site. And not a regular type of dating site if you know what I mean.
    What were you googling :)

These are the people that civil servants have to deal with day in day out.

Yeah, there's a daily cohort of them and they take up a huge amount of time that could be spent giving quality assistance to others.

I'd say less than 8 months of Covid terror left, then we will be back to waffling about bars using single use straws causing the weather to change.
