They were hardly delving into the youth teams for starters tonight. 3 Brazilian internationals out there, an African player of the year, the best right back in the league by miles.

    .

    Milner?

Yes they can. Freak results happen.

What happens if Liverpool won the remainder of their games? Would they be head and shoulders above the rest then? Or everybody just not Villa? You're being so pedantic towards one result.

Liverpool look superior to everyone by a good distance is that more precise?

They made Leicester look like nobodies and they didn't even have 3-4 of their best players.

He's salty his team are muck and needs to feed off that 7-2 freak result because he's got feck all else to celebrate.

    I wish.

Last season yes. This season it's tighter due to depleted squad. Plus only a 1/4 of the season deep.

I'm gonna apply the same lack of context and intellectual honesty in my arguments that you do and say they lost 5-0 to them last season and absolutely pissed the league.

Or Man Utd weren’t the best team in the league in 1997, despite winning the league, because Newcastle thumped them 5-0 in one game out of 38.

No, just the 2 academy graduates that played tonight in Jones & Williams while Phillips & Carkson made the bench. Trent Alexander Arnold was injured, you might have heard of him.

I'd expect both Jones & Williams to play midweek alright in the CL, with possibly another Williams starting too.

Eh? A team can't be both head and shoulders above the rest, and also lose 7-2 to opponents that finished 17th last season.

It was a freak result, happens all the time, it won’t be remembered when LFC win the title.

Whilst I think that is funny, it's also a multitude of negative things.

    Still laughing though. Wtf.

Klopp dead right in what he says about the midweek games and early kick offs.

There is a lot of managers publicly speaking out about the PL's decision to not implement 5 subs and for the persistence of making the European competition teams play the early Saturday morning games.

Arteta looks out of his depth. Awful football that is unbecoming of Arsenal and now it seems he's throwing his players under the bus. We know what often comes next. I don't see an upgrade from Emery, who incidentally is sitting 3rd in La Liga.

    Unbecoming of Arsenal.... LOL!

Ever hear of George Graham?? '1-0 to the Arsenal' chants & songs?? More like a return to their roots :)

It's hard to argue with what he says there, player welfare should come first and foremost, which currently it isn't.

OGS was the same after the Everton game.

United had to play the early kick off the Saturday having been in Turkey Wednesday night.

It's fcuking nonsense really & total disregard for player welfare.

Similar to Kroos saying that players are just puppets for the likes of FIFA & UEFA.

And he was totally right, I recall rubbing my hands at the prospect of facing a fatigued United side. It should've been a Friday night game tbh.

Everyone bangs on and on about Yemen and no one thinks of the multi millionaire footballers...

The PFA have been pathetic on the fixture congestion issue. Everyone knew there was a problem back in May/June. The only player I heard giving out about it last season was Kevin De Bruyne right at the end of the season.

If the players had a proper union they could have called a strike and had the competitions manoeuvred. The PFA as usual have just been silent.

What's the weather like on the high horse mate?

What's Yemen got to do with football?

Liverpool have clearly had the toughest first 9 games of anyone, have vd, gomez, trent, hendo, thiago and salah out and are still joint top

Yeah sure running away with last seasons league meant nothing because they lost 3-0 to relegated Watford.

And got hockeyed in the "easiest" game on paper. We'll see plenty more strange results as this relentless season goes on. League champs can be 75 pts or 100 pts once they get more than anyone else.

    Freak game.
The league will be close because of Pickford.

If Liverpool had Matip,VVD & Thiago fit for 75% of the season.
We would win the league again with a 10 point plus lead.

It is easy to forget Matip is an excellent CB better than Gomez & he was out for majority of 19/20.

Yemen is a country where children are starving to death. It's a pretty high profile humanitarian disaster.

The point wasn't really about Yemen's football prowess. Football isn't high on their priorities.
A poster was swearing about the multi millionaire footballers and the tyranny of FIFA, the organisation that made them millionaires. I responded to him.

The problem is that he'll be out for the majority of 20/21 as well.

Yeah I would be confident in Liverpool winning the league this season with a fully fit squad.

The injuries to Liverpool's best players make it fair game and a more level playing field.

Mod: a poster talking about soccer players and about soccer organisations is expected.

You are welcome to post elsewhere if soccer posts are not to your liking.
