Too risky to book anything in Ireland for 6 months plus.

Was too complicated for starters. Should have been simpler to do, like the UK version. Sorry now.

But anyway there weren't the opportunities to do it here really so far, so it just fizzled out.

The moment it started everything was shut down by the usual autocrats. Like all government schemes, a complete waste of time. They’re v good at collecting taxes, pandemic or no they never fail to gouge a huge hole in my pay packet every month

The spending bit was cancelled because the majority are on unemployment benefits

It was a diversion to buy off the plebs for a few weeks.

All you do is upload your receipts via the app and away you go?

Its running, but as takeout food isn't covered there has been nothing to claim for for weeks. I have a single receipt uploaded from the short period pre-L5.

Its not complicated at all - the UK system appears simpler to the consumer but sure as hell isn't simpler all told, the business side is a nightmare and it was very restricted in terms of days of the week when ours isn't.

Yeah, not sure what people find difficult about it. They set it up the exact same way you claim for medical expenses, which I assume was deliberate given pretty much everyone will have done that process at some point.

At least the "staying" bit was quite successful...
