Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Bailies have really knocked it out of the park with the microlots they've been getting it in, currently using This for filter and rotating between chemex/v60/kalita at 60g/l

    I had that Yabitu Koba a month or two ago (microlot sub), really good stuff. They had a Burundi coffee not long ago too that was just amazing.

    I also have Sweetshop and a Red Brick there too which I rotate on a daily basis for an Americano in the afternoon, love them both.

    I have a bag of Red Brick from Square Mile that I keep frozen in smaller amounts.

    It's a bloody good coffee that I drink 14g/60ml espresso

    £10.50 for 350g plus delivery makes it probably unfeasible to get by itself but it's really damn good the mouthfeel is almost unbelievably creamy.

    That's only under €11 for 250g shipping included. I'm now waiting for SM's Muungano natural. The washed version of it was even better than the Burundi Ntarambo that you mentioned earlier.

    I recently got a bag of Eighty Nine (JJ Darboven) No. 1 and I was seriously surprised by it. Was gone in a couple of days, the family loved it. Really nice coffee, at only €6 for 250g its a bargain.

    It's pretty good and probably my wife's favourite coffee.

    I also used it in a Breakfast Stout I brewed, and it was excellent in that. :D

    Yeah, I'm really impressed by it. Roasted in Dun Laoghaire it is, ill admit my brother in law works for the service team but I was surprised at how cheap the coffee is.

    They have a fairly decent range of blends too.

    JJ Darboven in DL sell it themselves, as well as their online shop.

    I'm drinking it Aeropress 18g in 250 with medium course ground. I'm getting some juicy citrus, a bit like Square Mile Sweet Shop coffee.

    I'm going to make the grind a bit finer and reduce to about 16/250

    It's a nice cup as it is, but I think I can get more out of it.

    Drinking this at the minute and it's beautiful. Lovely balanced cup with dark berry sweetness. Great example of a Colombian washed coffee. White star are really knocking things out of the park with their roasting.

    I'm on the Bailies Guatemala El Limonar Strictly HB right now

    It's ok - but tbh I would say this is just me, as my preferences tend to steer towards the chocolately, rounds, nutty and sweeter coffees and I'm not really getting that much with this.

    Darker roast than I usually like, but the bitterness is restrained a bit. It's ok, but not as good as some other roasters.

    Yeah, for the money this is a solid coffee blend the orange flavour is excellent and lasts well in the aftertaste. I use it as recommenced 60g/l in an Aero

    really good coffee

    Thanks! I'm embarrassed to say on this forum that I love a good Brazilian - usually lots of chocolate and drinkable by the bucket! Might not be spectacular or unique etc. but a good old reliable if you get good quality beans imo.

    Took delivery of 3 bags of Badger & Dodo today.

    Ordered on the 9th. Roast date is 06/11 for 2 of the bags and 04/11 for the other.

    1 x Jam Jar Espresso - I love this blend, I've had it before and is one I keep goingg back to
    1 x Fairy Floss - I've never had this before but have heard good things. They say it is suitable for both espresso and Filter but I'll be brewing it as espresso mainly.
    1 x Ethiopia: Chelichele - This one sounds interesting. Cupping notes of Grapefruit, Jasmine, Peach, I'll be using this in filter and aeropress.

    yeah the Fairy Floss and the Chelichele are both good coffees, Fairly Floss will have Chelichele in it.

    I haven't really loved the Jam Jar this time, I couldn't get it tasting the way I really wanted.

    I've just started into the Fairy floss and must say I really like it. Really good sweetness in the cup, based off the first 1-2 shots.

    Honestly one of the best coffee's that I've had this year. I brewed it on the V60 and it has a lovely balanced sweetness to it. The mouthfeel is incredible and it lingers on the palate for quite some time after each sip. I know it's pricey but the quality is something else. Can't recommend this enough.

    I stocked up for the festive season with Three Fools and Soma Christmas blends and Cork Coffee Roasters Decaf. Never tried the CCR decaf (or other beans) before outside of a takeaway coffee so I'm looking forward to it.

    Upside Burundi, a few weeks older than I'd usually like but I decided to throw a local coffee shop a few quid last week. I've found that I've needed to up my dose from 15/250 to about 16.5/250 to get the best out of it (aero).

    Lovely and juic, dark berry and a nice acidity catching your saliva glands at the back of your tongue.

    I don't see it on their website at the moment.

    After dabbling with an uninspiring order from Ponaire (Mexican Lion Boy Single - meh, Connoisseur Blend Coffee - meh, Decaf - probably the best of the few decafs I've tried), I've gone back to the Badger and Dodo Ethiopia Nensebo Refissa. You cannot, it seems, get too much of a good thing. If I had to drink one coffee for the rest of my life, this would be it. Also picked up their xmas blend and decaf and I'll try them in a few days, but it all just feels a bit pointless after the Nensebo Refissa. It's the kind of coffee that makes me want to get up earlier in the morning.
