For anyone hoping to get one from Harvey Norman tomorrow, buy a lottery ticket also. Might be your lucky day.

3.3K comments and almost 1K shares in 4 hours.

What’s the chances the site crashes at 9.00

Argos do preorders in UK, they have been doing it for years.

Still think the Ireland branches will get some. I work for a uk company and they would never hold stock items just for uk if we sold them. There would be murder with branch mangers here etc

Well thats because they are sold out. You are too late looking for a preorder now, console is out tomorrow

It definitely will, not designed to handle that much traffic at same time.

What actually happens if it does crash?

It will be slower than a snail or fail to load altogether, similar to what happened with Smyths during their second round of orders.

Dont give up though, keep trying

There's that info and a lot more in the first 5 posts of this thread.

Harvey Norman website will definitely crash tomorrow, this is why a lotto/draw system would be ideal. Give people an hour or so to get a ticket. Plenty of people lose out to websites crashing.

I just hope there's an actual chance when there's a restock, not getting my hopes up then either.

You know stock is bad when this is the only positive thing I've heard all day as it will be less interest for those of us wanting a disc version...

Dont think its going to make a difference to those looking to get one. They would rather spend 499 then 600-700 once sold out

Based on what i've heard the are very few all-digital models in circulation. They're taking a loss on it, so the more they sell, the more they lose.

It's available but in limited numbers, just enough so they can say their machine starts at $399

Retailers who sell games on the side also don't really want to help move people to an all-digital ecosystem.
