One of the republican members Monica Palmer on the board even goes as far as saying that she will certify all areas except for Detroit (essentially wanting to ignore a massive black vote).
She gets torn apart on the zoom call https://twitter.com/raywert/status/1328856173513150464

The same person is up in front of an ethics committee for a conflict of interest at 9am tomorrow morning.

IMO it makes no difference what side you are on but everyone must agree the US is an absolute basket case

Jaysus. He went a bit mental there tbh.

Republicans once again openly supporting fascism and racism. They keep doing this and people vote for them not in spite of this, but because of it.

he did the thing I hate about all of this and clips like this is you don't get the whole context with them so you need to do your own research on them.

Yeah. I can't imagine a legit reason to discount all Detroit votes, but he just gets very personal and fire & brimstone about it.

Also the tweet says "racist & partisan refusal to certify the election". I seriously doubt it's racially motivated, though clearly as a republican it would seem partisan.

She was happy enough to certify areas that had more reported discrepancies but were mostly white, but refused point blank and without explanation to certify an area with fewer discrepancies but that was mostly black. Little other conclusion to draw.

Anyway the Q Anon crackpot has since u turned and they're certifying.

and for reference this tweet certainly didn't age well

Actually, Trump tweeted it after it was announced they had a second vote and decided to certify

She was happy to certify Republican dominant counties but wanted to disregard votes in a Democrat city. There's no reason to think it's racially motivated and there's every reason to think it's partisan.

You think she'd want Detroit discounted if it was Republican dominated black vote?

That Ned Staebler fella deserves a medal, he shine a light directly on them and their racism, and unable to defend it the cowards simply ran away.

Nonetheless, those people absolutely deserve to be taken to task and removed from their positions of they are unable to give decent reasoning as to why. Their original reasoning got shown up for the effort to subvert democracy it always was, "ok never mind" isn't good enough.

    False.
Trump will do everything within the law to disqualify any and all "non-legal ballots", There is no way to disqualify legal ballots, That is BS. What Trumps legal team are doing is finding irregularities,

Anything you have seen today change your mind at all? Two Trump supporting Republicans in Wayne County Michigan initially refusing to certify votes in Detroit, a city that overwhelmingly voted Democrat and with a large african american population. They could provide no reason that only the Detroit results could not be certified in the county. And while they eventually did do their jobs, Trump tweeted support for them not certifying the results.

Do you still think this is just about only counting legal votes?

It's interesting that this was your takeaway. Not that it's disgraceful that elected officials are trying to discount legitimate votes while been cheered on by the President. But just that the guy trying to argue against it went a bit emotional stating his case against them.

Some people bend over backwards to appear neutral but their true feelings are transparent (That means non-opaque if you are reading this Rudy ;) )

Must be BLM people in disguise. I keep reading on here about how Trump supporters don't do that kind of thing.

I'm sure Trumps supporters who claimed it was only Antifa/BLM that did that sort of thing will be along to condemn them.

Either that or we will get the usual posts spouting the usual words, rioting, looting, cities burning, anarchy, etc etc.

About the same chance as the Biden supporters condemning the blm /antifa riots

I'd support Biden over Trump any day of the week, but the absolute carry on from ANTIFA and BLM in some areas is disgraceful. There is absolutely no need for rioting or violence from either side and it does not help their cause at all.

All that should be done is nothing. Sit back, let the cases get thrown out of court, let them do a re-count and watch Trump lose for a second time. BLM/ANTIFA are only serving to bolster Trump and give his side a legitimate reason to complain about the left rioting etc. The same goes for the Proud Boys shouting out the n-word and attacking women; they are only giving the left a reason to call Trump supporters misogynists and violent racists etc.

Biden publicly called for no violence which always seems to be conveniently ignored. Meanwhile Trump encouraged militias.

Are you calling out and condemning blm /anita rioting and violence ?

I'm sure he can answer the question himself. No helpers needed for a yes or no question

He is calling out Trump. There are stupid people on both sides, and such people often look to their president for guidance. And if your leader isn't doing basic presidential things like calling an end to violence, then perhaps find a new leader.

I don't approve of the violence however the protests were largely peaceful. I also support the goals of BLM as they very much so have legitimate grievances. You seem to think you're making hard hitting points when you're really not...

Is it not more appropriate to be calling out the political leaders who are churning up the social unrest???

I don't think anyone here would condone violence of any type.... But we certainly will condemn those in power that instigate it.

And yet you can't bring yourself to do the same because there are on 'your' side.

Is supporting Trump really worrh giving up any sense of rationality or common decency?

I think you have a bigger problem with the BLM movement because you either don't acknowledge or don't care that there is systemic racism in the U.S., and you have a lesser/no issue with the Proud Boys ideology because you can relate to them/it.

Rudy is dangerously stupid, that has been long established.

I don't see what is in it for him, he had a pretty good reputation built up and a decent legacy he could have retired on before getting entangled with the artificially tanned one.

He claims he isn't getting paid, and Trump didn't think enough of him to give him any role in his impossible to fill administration.

Just simply lost his fúcking mind I guess.

    Isn't he getting 20k a day?

Also, if it was easy enough for him to get entrapped by Sasha Baron Cohen; you don't think the FSB hasn't done something similar?

Is he? I just remember him saying several he wasn't getting paid, like he was a noble law professor fighting injustice.
