Only 6 counties this week have rising incidences, the rest have dropped.
    Limerick
    Waterford
    Louth
    Offaly
    Leitrim
    Wicklow

I haven't heard Holohan speak at all. I avoid all that. At most I have seen his photo on news sites.

I'm happy out and the news is out there anyway, but we can be selective and avoid the doom and gloom stuff in our faces.

Jesus that is massive, and how many associated with them!?

We have been sold a pup the last few days

Forget closing the schools, if we want to stop the spread of Covid we need to close the hospitals.

    NEPHET are master deflectors

Pass the buck to any easy scapegoat, the alcoholics, de youth...

The truth will show that the HSE measures in place in healthcare settings have been atrocious.

Have people walked into maternity hospitals recently or any hospital infact, the lack of PPE on show in the public areas and overcrowding is shocking.

These are the hubs for outbreaks at the moment

to be fair, NPHET have gone out of their way NOT to blame any particular group, in particular they have been very careful not to single out young people.

Again, ill reply to this like I did yesterday, Wicklow has been consistently in the bottom 3 of the table for the past month, we had 5 cases today and our 14 average is 65/100k. When your numbers are low is doesn't take much to make it look bad when it really isn't.

Overly concerned and the next two weeks are crucial yawn.how many next two weeks have we had since mid March at this stage.time for the public to switch onto the fact that the hse run hospitals are out of control.

I haven’t, I had a hospital appointment canceled all be it for now a minor issue.

I presume staff are PPE’d from head to toe ? Certainly seems so from photos. No excuses for patients or the public not wearing a mask and sanitizing hands.... they shouldn’t be let into any public area of a hospital without a mask and using sanitizer.

Ugh, same old "conspiracy, everyone's trying to make life difficult for us, won't someone think of the children" this thread is renowned for at this stage...:pac:

Follow the rules, wear your mask. Then we make progress

They are definitely careful not to blame the HSE given that's where the majority of their member work.

At least the healthcare workers should know about isolating and keeping contacts low so hopefully these clusters will burn themselves out

We all know what to do but not veryone like that and will do their own think and this is the same with HCW.

If we had competent media in this country the 97 cases in healthcare workers would be headline news

Granted for Wicklow and Leitrim but the others are all in the top 7 for 14 day per 100,000.

It shows that you can use figures and statistics to prove any point you like. You need to dig deeper to see the real picture.

This crap of being concerned on a continual bases is a joke. The man was concerned in late June when we had 3 cases and no deaths.

He’ll be really fûcking concerned when he’s traffic chart comes out in a few weeks!!
People will and probably have already stopped listening to him

I wonder is that a tactic by the media at government behest, not to spook the public ? If they had that as a headline on six one followed by... xxx Gardai and army off duty due to contracting covid... I’m all for transparency but I think that’s not in the public interest.

    Masturdebaters more like.

Irish times wins a press award for the best coverage of Covid, the same month I literally cancelled my subscription because their coverage has consistently been poor.

Like if you want edgy opinion pieces fine. I kind of want facts and figures right now tho

Thankfully appears to still be no noticeable increase in suicide rates occurring due to lockdown, similar announcement made by Samaritans earlier in the lockdown during late Spring, so it's remaining consistent. Thought by this stage the isolation and loneliness might have been getting to some people after the novelty wore off but great to see this although it is a bit surprising, woul d have expected at least a minor increase especially because of the financial contraits and job losses.

Do you really expect the media to question the gov/HSE when they are the only ones paying any advertising bills these days?
