He’s invented many words. None of them would be used by anyone else mind....

And NK who does look after Joe & his show, then acts upon dr outfall to recruit Baz from same stable, if only one could think it up,

So, after complaining to Liveline, it appears his not receiving free money was a clerical error ...

So far in government, the Green Party have only achieved to back FFG corruption and fund pantomimes.
    So no climate crisis then?

Am I missing something, taxpayer is funding pantomimes (and comedians) to perform?

Do the performers keep the ticket money also?
Isn’t it a profit making business already?
Aren’t the workers in these industries on COVID unemployment payment - which is hardly a pittance?

If pantomimes are going ahead, don’t they need to start by mid November at the latest?

In the highly likely event, the lockdown is not over, even by start/mid December, who keeps the free pantomime money? What if it is already spent?

    Sounds like a scam

With the Green's in power it's highly unlikely any circus is going to get money.

    Bowman's Sunday

From the archives, Joe Duffy speaks to dr Anthony Clare.

AC: I look at broadcasting as a hobby

JD: i can relate to day...so to speak.

Will it be duly denied next year when if the pantomimes cannot go ahead this year?

Nice little interview, devoid of misery. June seems very media savvy, probably de force behind de broadcaster so to speak.

I remember bringing the mother on a trip to Ardgillen estate near Balbriggan, not that long after it first opened to the public, parked close by were Joe and a heavily pregnant June, having a picnic by their car. It was a beautiful sunny day, and it was my mother who drew my attention to them. A few weeks later we heard the news that triplets had been born.

    Drive-in Pantomime in Wales:

    https://www.walesonline.co.uk/special-features/tickets-available-drive-christmas-pantomime-19216078

During the summer when I was walking around beautiful Omey Island in Connemara I saw a Drive-in Bingo taking place on the low tide beach connecting the island to the mainland. They had a system of horn-blowing to partake, and I guess the drive-in panto would have horn blowing codes for audience reaction. We could have that in Phoenix Park, St Annes Park etc.

Just saw Dustin having a dig at Joe on De Den. He said ".... and if Joe Duffy has the time tomorrow which he should as his radio show is always quiet..."

He's moved on from the "a nice cup of tea" advice he used to dispense a few years ago as the miracle cure to everything - this was before Verrrrrrsaaaahtis obviously.

Thankfully I missed the show you refer to above but as per my post last week it's this type of man in the street advice that is at best unhelpful and at worst dangerous.

If today is suicide again, could we organise together and write an open letter to Dee Forbes and Minister and shadow Minister of Communications/Arts etc pointing out that at a time of crisis, constant misery and death on prime time radio is, (ironically) killing radio, or at least killing RTE Radio, considering so many of us regular listeners jumped to NewsTalk on Friday.

On Morning Ireland there was a mention of a baby being kidnapped on Henry St in 1954 (as if it were the day before yesterday so-to-speak). They found the kid with a load of others in Belfast. I think it was in the 'What the Papers Say' segment, but I didn't catch it fully, but it seems it happened around Christmas.

This would normally have been picked up by the Duffy-Lahvline antenne, so will he feature this today, possibly finding a connection to the Noyeks Newmans disaster of 1972? Or indeed Moore St in 1916?

EDIT: Article on it from 2004 here: https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-20247547.html

I found that on my Del-Boy computer as I don't have an eye-Pad.

Similar to the tat that is sold and presumeably is bought on Henry/Mary Street around this time of year, I have to wonder about the tastes of some of my countrymen. Yes I'd love a pint in a pub. No, I won't get a takeaway pint in a plastic cup to drink in the street in Dublin in November. An argument could be made for a hot whiskey maybe, though I can make a better one at home..

Coming home for Christmas. Will people object? Widow wants to come home. Will she be welcome.

    Brexit fast approaching. Stockpile.

The Crown on Netflix. Was Diana too young for Charlie.

Panto grants. Should recipients be resident in the country.
Could be a dig at the Scottish lad from Las week
