I got my login details for PeoplePoint through my work email.

However I inputted my login wrong 3 times into PeoplePoint & now it wont let me login at all.

I emailed PeoplePoint about this & awaiting a reply at present.

Has this ever happened to anyone and is it easy to remedy?

    Thanks in advance.

Call them in the morning. 0761071000

You won't be able to login on a non government network

Thanks. Do they usually respond to emails?

Yeah it could take them a while though. If you ring they can pretty much sort it out over the phone straight away, they'll send you out a temporary password that you change as soon as you log in.

Thanks I sent them an email & they sent me a new password but it still wont let me log in to even change the password to something different.

So far I've used two different passwords & when I try to login with it for the first time to change it - it keeps saying either the password or username is incorrect. (Both times the same story admittedly I realised the first password I got I had indeed put it in wrong three times but the new password it just wouldnt accept it and it was inputted correctly).

What details will I need to give over the phone to PeoplePoint to sort this?

    Thank you.

If you give them a quick call in the morning they can stay on the phone with you and make sure that everything is up and running. They'll just ask you what Department you're in etc...

    Thank you so much.
Is it a free phone number?
Roughly how long would I be on the phone for sorting it out?

    I can from home.

    Is it a freephone number?

    3 weeks later

Emails are dealt with in date order. They are on reduced staff as people have been redeployed.
If its urgent phone them before 1pm. Its quiet simple really.

    It's a local rate call.

If your able to access the portal through citrix, yes.
If you don't have citrix or whatever your department uses for remote access you won't even see the site

Are you copying and pasting the password? If so , I remember having a similar issue a few years back, it's cause in the copy and paste function either a space goes in before or after the password and I can't remember which. Other than that are you sure your user name is correct? We have So many for different systems.

I've had this happen if you double-click on the password to select it rather than click and move the mouse to the end. If there are any spaces after the password, they'll be included in what is copied. Very difficult to spot after you've pasted it.

If he's actually typing it in, another thing to watch out for is the difference between the letter O and the number 0, and depending on the font, even more difficult to spot, the difference between the letter l (lower case L) and the number 1.

Messing up logging into a website isn't really something to go to boards over is it? Talk to your manager.

The pssc/payroll site can be accessed from anywhere. The PeoplePoint portal can't

Well I’ve done it, maybe things have changed since I’ve out since Oct 19

If you've accessed the people point portal on a non governmental network then you need to take a bow. As you're the only one who can.

Well I can’t imagine I’ve been the only one frankly.

Out of interest. What are you looking at when you log in?

It was probably porn hub because it certainly wasn’t PeoplePoint

I know with certainty that it hasn’t been available on a non government network since 2016

He's probably looking at his payslip and doesn't realise its not PeoplePoint who run it.
A very common problem with people. And I know that with certainty.

Meant to reply sooner. Got a new generic password emailed to me that got me access to PeoplePoint & was able to change it from there.
Thank you so much for your help.
