I much preferred the RDS, wish they would hold them there! Easier to get to (and people can just stay anywhere in the city centre if they are travelling) and not as hot and stuffy!

Someone told me they get to hold them in the red cow for free and that’s the reason for the venue change....would make sense....can’t imagine RDS is cheap

Good luck today everyone! Hope we get a fair paper that we can all tackle and hopefully pass :) I'm absolutely bricking it!!

I am bricking it this morning with everyone saying about the right of the unborn because its one of the few things I didn't cover and that would be so typical for it to come up hahah

praying for a nice paper today

Nobody knows what will come up - it's all guess work. Best of luck!

So worried about my head being stuck in the constitution today and it being flagged. But to be fair you need it for almost any question and I plan on using it to type verbatim on sections to flesh answers out. Does anyone show their legislation? Honestly worked up over it but should you show every page you look at to the camera?

I wouldn’t be worrying about it at all. Just hold the constitution to the camera the first time you use it and leave it at that. Don’t bother flicking through pages and definitely don’t show each page you look at to the camera. That’s an awful waste of time.

As long as that’s all you’re looking at you’ll be fine 😉
    Best of luck.

Would completely agree - I was showing it every time on camera for company and it wasted so much time. If we’re allowed to look at legislation they won’t call us up for doing so. Good luck :)

Well, feeling like a right moron today after looking back over Equity and what people were saying about topics that came up. I answered the question about Patrick and Brian's farm as specific performance and part performance because it mirrored the McCarron case so well. But seems everyone else did estoppel. Now convinced I failed!

If you had 4 other good questions you still have a good chance of passing. Even if you picked the issue up incorrectly in the PQ (and who’s to say you were wrong only the examiner knows for sure) you’re still likely to pick up a few marks for applying the law properly. The equity examiner is new this year and they tend to go easy on the marking for their first year.

Don’t let it dwell in your mind!! Just focus on the next exam you have and if you’re finished enjoy your freedom!! Worst thing happens is you repeat it in March.

    Hi All,

Anyone doing EU suggestions on the bare minimum to pass? (excluding competition as I haven't even looked at it!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

    Judicial Review
    Direct effect
    institutions
    general principles
Free Movement of goods (34 -36 main and then 30, 110 as back up)
Free movement of workers (throwing in a bit on citizenship)

Obviously, hard to predict with this being the 4th paper this year, but this should, hopefully, cover you. The layout in the august sitting changed so he might be mixing it up.

Out of curiosity, why do you think the August (in person) paper changed? From what I can see it was PQ on DE/MSL, essay on human rights, PQ on arts 34-36, essay on judicial review, PQ on fmow/citizenship, essay on arts 101-102, case note, PQ on arts 30 and 110.

Did anyone else find constitutional really hard? What a mare. It's my last Fe1 and that is the worst one I have done so far.

Yeah didn't feel as though it was the most straightforward paper!

yes i made a complete balls of it.

thought it was a nice paper initially then ran out of time and realised the second last question i tried (the one about padraig and jennifer) - he only asked for fair procedures and i talked about liberty and habeus corpus

last exam also and was a disaster!!

Yes. I thought March was hard, and this one was even worse. Christ almighty.

What topics do we think each question was looking for? Thought it was a very confusing paper

I prepared so, so much - but I just couldn't figure out what to write about. Some of my answers are nearly identical to each other!
