Trump is fine for the GOP, Cuomo is not well liked in Dem circles plus there's the rising left tide in the party, which will push gender and minorities.

Election official worked at poll station with Covid, then died
A Missouri election official who had tested positive for Covid-19 four days before the election worked at a suburban St Louis polling site, potentially exposing nearly 2,000 voters to the virus.

The person, who has since died, was an election judge at the Blanchette Park Memorial Hall voting station in Lake Charles, officials announced on Thursday, without identifying the person who died.

They added that the person had been advised after their positive test to quarantine for 14 days. The cause of death is unknown, they said.

The midwestern state has seen 200,042 infections, according to Johns Hopkins University. There have been 3,117 deaths recorded in Missouri, and 234,944 deaths nationwide.

    Oops.

Maybe in person voting wasn't such a good idea.

There was a court order issued to USPS to carry out an am and a pm sweep to ensure that all postal votes are collected and counted once they are date stamped within the cut off date. Whats so ridiculous about that ? Just ensuring all valid votes are registered and counted correctly.

Just need him to last 2 years so that Harris can then try for 2 terms.

In any normal election, it would be hard to see Harris getting a term as POTUS, but she'd be in with a decent shout if Trump decided to run again and got the Republican nomination.

Biden can pull in votes in part because he's ol' Joe. Harris could fall into the trap that Clinton did and come off as a bit morally superior and smug. The glassy-eyed, laughy interview that Harris did on 60 minutes wasn't a particularly endearing one and probably wouldn't be the kind of thing that pulls in disaffected Republicans in 4 years time.

If the Republicans could run someone like Paul Ryan again, or maybe even Dan Crenshaw, they'd probably win fairly handily against Harris.

It shows that DeJoy's attempts to suppress postal votes were successful in a limited way.

Doctors say Trump has a 50-50 chance of winning, though there's only a 10 percent chance of that.

I've been very suspicious about claims of voter fraud and election tampering but there actually does appear to be a case to answer to.....

There’s a reason why Republican legislatures in these states had it so Mail-ins would be counted last.

He clearly has a 50-50 chance, he either wins or he doesn't, 50-50.

    Science.

Which would lose them the WH in the US right now...

If the Democrats want to consistently win in the Senate and indeed win the WH with the ease that they win the overall popular vote , they absolutely MUST find a way to connect with voters outside the Urban/Suburban areas.

For all their merits , AOC et al are not that connection.

Look at the Senate and House races - They did pretty poorly because they don't have a message to reach those voters.

Equally - The GOP will never take back the house unless they find a way to connect with Urban voters.

It can't be the same reason as Donald Trump wanted them to be counted last, because the GoP are largely staying silent while Donald Trump rants on about how the postal votes must be fraudulent because they lean so heavily Dem.

It was all part of the strategy. Republicans in Pennsylvania refused to allow early counting of the mailed in ballots. They knew what they were doing....WaPo predicted this weeks ago:

October 26th: If Pennsylvania Republicans do the right thing, they might avert an Election Day disaster

Watching CNN here, talking about Biden being a leader and a hero. Can't be just me, I'm not impressed with Biden at all. I'm not an expert but I would say his victory is more down to people wanting Trump out more than wanting Biden in.

    From Twitter..

“Fox News is instructing its talent not to call Joe Biden the "President-elect" when the network calls the race”

    Ridiculous stuff...

Once inaugurated Biden is going to be the most popular US President in history.

I agree. I'm not a huge Trump fan myself but it'd be worth another four years of Trump just to see the looks on the faces of the usual suspects in CNN - Blitzer, Cuomo, Lemon and so on, and the ensuing meltdown there, especially after they were so sure Biden would win.
Pat Kenny almost in tears on Newstalk just now.

Yes. Looking at the house and senate races this was more of a referendum on Trump (hence the massive turnout).
