Yeah, when asked does his LADS ( Joe not woke) go over by ferry every night he said.

" Yeah we bring over some Covid test every night over to Oxford, we're doing the oxford trial test."

    Their website looks good.

    Fair play to Vincent.

He sorted out a difficult problem for the old lady that likely cost him little and plugged his company.

    All good. :)

Had to duck out and do some essential shopping while there weren't many people around to get in my way.

I take it I missed a taxi whacker complaining about Three's announcement last week that all unused credit will be deemed void.
****ing bstards, that's the kind of sneaky trick that one of the other networks used to pull - was it Vodafone? Maybe one or two more, too.
I have a couple of old phones I keep as fall-backs and to hand out to visitors or guests from abroad, each of them has a valid SIM dating back at least a decade and each has about 40 or 50 quid's worth of credit on it.
I keep them active by making a text call from them about once every three months, and that's been fine for years.
According to Three, these will be void if I don't use it up.
Even my own main phone, I use it for out-going calls so infrequently that a single 20 quid top-up lasts me a year or two.
    F*ckung ****en bastards.

I'm not shilling for 48 but everyone in this house has been with them for years. I can't understand people paying 30 quid a month when you can get a good cheap android phone and a 48 or GoMo SIM. Like yourself, I used to often get visitors from afar. I'd always have a few SIMs ready to activate. It'd cost me a tenner to get them a month of 300 mins and 300 txts to Ireland . I'd get it back in drink in one night.

I reckon the whacker phone lad was keeping the line open so he could ring and hear the wife's voice on the phone. It's a Liveline staple. Surely , in this day and age there's some way of copying it and making it into an mp3 file and put a copy on every device.

No. I'm not a water person at all. I did go for a drive down to Staid Abbey and Lislary. Spent an hour just looking at the waves. Never seen anything like it.
