You need valve body similar from virtually any traditional TRV. Tado comes with countless adapters.

Great deals on tado° products as well, with ~50% discounts from regular prices.

I didn't know they introduced the remote temperature sensor, it was a very missed addition to the system: https://www.amazon.co.uk/boards/dp/B08D6VJVFG

It was always available, but was sold as an additional stat. It could be used wired to a zone valve, or left unwired and paired to a TRV as it's temperature sensor. Looks like a repurpose shift in it's marketing. Perhaps it doesn't have the wired terminals and relay, which would make it cheaper to make and use less power (though Support could always kill the relay in an unwired additional stat).

No, I'm a general electronics/comms engineer and IT bod but have worked at everything from fixing combine harvesters, military comms, broadcast engineering, and educational tech. I've installed a good few solid fuel and oil boilers and CH systems for myself and family over the years, first one in my mother's house when I was 17, then my brothers, then my own house which I built from scratch, like a lot of guys in the 80's. Needs must. You can't do a lot of this work now without trades registration etc. Time was you could wire a house and once it passed inspection, you got the cert. Now you can't even if you have a PhD in the subject. You get the picture. Anyway, I've retired today after almost 44 yrs., fed up WFH, so I need a hobby. Drinking sounds good, I was good at that once!

Tado or Drayton were rock bottom recently, so search for deals. Tado CH/HW kit plus 2 extra stats, or Drayton Kit 3, 2 CH and HW, plus an extra Drayton stat and receiver (Drayton is wireless) Tado probably the easiest install for you, as the three stats will wire in place of the old, with the receiver used just for HW timing, though it provides wireless connectivity for the primary stat. Does your current system have a timer, perhaps just a notch one on the boiler?

Hi guys can I replace my Netamo with the tado system. Is the wiring all the same do you know?

If your Netatmo is wired, it's a straight swap.

If it's wireless, then you need the Tado ext kit to replace the Netatmo receiver.

If you want a wired Tado, you have to run wires from the Tado to where the Netatmo receiver is, and substitute Live to the Tado, and the return Switched Live to the boiler connection currently in the receiver.

You’d be better off just changing the fitting type.

Yeah, in the long run with Brexit you might be better off moving to E27 and it's the handiest electrical job you can do in a home.
