Just tuned in, can never understand the obsession with American politics over here, particularly in RTE.

I thought it was weird last week that a segment about a u.s judges appointment reaching another stage in the process was on the irish main evening news.

Forget about Trump, is nobody concerned that the likely winner of the upcoming election referred to the current President twice as "George". The man is just not mentally sound enough to be President. And I feel sorry for him in that as he is declining, but he is not fit enough to be a candidate.

Biden is holding at 1.5 on Betfair. Put on €100 to win €50 so to speak. £200M traded on it. This time 4 years ago the odds on Clinton were beginning to collapse a bit. This time they are holding. Once Biden doesn't go for a ****e live on stage some where between now and the election, Biden should be safe. Hopefully.

Wouldn't be the first mentally unsound occupant of the hot seat over there.
George Bush Jr was brain damaged through alcohol abuse.
Reagan was showing signs of deterioration for several years.

It's staggering that the Democrats couldn't find a better candidate than Biden.

They could but Biden was seen as the most palatable would be my guess.
    He can beat Trump.

What is the future for the Republican party? Trump Jr or Ivanka?
