Bamford seems to be more comfortable in the PL than the EPL.
Hopefully he isn't another Pukki and fizzles out as season progresses.

In the Championship, teams would frequently have at least 10 players defending in the box. While it was infuriating, he has bit more time for instinctive shots now. And Leeds will create chances as seen tonight. A days less rest and just blew Villa away in second half

The theory amongst some is that PL defenders give more space, but they are faster. So he has to work instinctively rather than think too much, and that suits him. It's a bit like that one where some strikers might score lots of goals but are like deer in headlights when it comes to running through one on one eg. Robbie Keane

Bielsa has a very simple talent that is largely overlooked these days.

He improves players. In fact he transforms them.

We live in an age of "if it's broken, throw it out, buy new" and it seems to have worked its way into football now. Your striker doesn't score enough? Buy another. Success and failure seems to be measured in how new players fare rather than how existing players improve.

Bamford, some man, bangin' in the goals this year!

Of course the more he keeps this up the less likely we'll ever see him in a green shirt. Just when we need a 'natural goalscorer' more than ever...

It's the dumbest part of that "he hasn't had time to build his own team" aspect of commentary when it comes to new managers. Where they seemingly need to be given time to dump loads of lads out and buy a whole bunch of new lads to be judged - when surely what they should be judged on is if they can get more from the current bunch than the last guy did.

How is that not a pen for West ham? Defender clears him out , didn't touch the ball, keeper collects the ball .

Surprised at the lack of action by var, and complete ambivalence by commentators. Not even close to the ball

If WH get a even a point here they will have exceeded my expectations given their fixtures. Incredible how they're not in the relegation zone

This league, partly because of the weirdness created by Covid, could be anyone's at this rate.

Could be 10 teams within 15 points at the end, at the top end.

When did lying on the ground in the wall to prevent low shot during free kick become a thing?

When Messi scored one iirc. But probably was somebody else before him!

Think KDB did it as well

Terrible touch by Sterling. Should be 1-2

Ronaldinho might be the first one I saw do it or Pirlo?

Ronaldinho is a great shout as Messi probably learned it from him

Big draw for West Ham against Phil Foden's Manchester City

It's always nice to watch City and particularly, Pep, fail though isn't it, one of the few things that unite pool and United supporters?

Unlucky for Kamara to get red for that foul, bad foul but I think slowing it down with VAR makes it look a lot worse, thought yellow was the right card.
    Pretty poor game all round

I'm going to go with 3-2 in this game. Not sure to who though.
