    who will push the buttons for her?

    Surely one of the 3-5 kids will push the buttons?

    They ask for the experience in a standardised way because some CVs are terrible muck altogether.

    Sounds like standard application for any public service job

    Why does Duffy have to ask the same questions over and over that the caller has just provided?

    He's not listening. He doesn't give a ****e.

    The online bit just stops short of asking for the deeds to your house, your will and the size of your gadget.
    It's torture.
    Then yep, you've to upload your CV, which you've just transcribed on their online form for ages and then the killer - gimme your cert from the 70s, 80s etc

    Because;

    (a) He's not listening,

    (b) He's a thick.

    Who has their leaving cert document. Ffs

    I'd do the fecking job as a volunteer, and I'd be damned good at it, but I'm not bothering with the hassle involved. My 40 years admin & supervision dealing with the public can be validated in a moment, as well as my planning and IT skills etc etc etc. I can trace more info about folk than they know themselves; experienced library folk are natural detectives and skilled communicators.

    Applied for public service job a few years ago. Didn't have the document. Had to go back to my old school to get it.
