So, a big thanks for all of you who didn't abide by public health advise. Enjoy your lockdown. I hope you get jail for your ignorant house parties you are in no doubt planning already!

There's only one midnight or 00:00 on any Wednesday and that is immediately following 23:59 Wednesday.
Wednesday doesn't begin until 00:00:01. There is no 00:00 on Thursday mornings.

A new day starts at 00:00:00.

Ah thanks clearly I have not been looking in the right places

So 17% community transmission does not correlate to rampant in the community to me

    Perhaps its a communications issue

I presume there's a suspicion that many of those under investigation will turn out to be community transmission.

He is right we call our government a shambles (and it is) but if Boris had not all this of financial aid and plans before there 3 level plan then it is plain idiotic. I feel when I am playing Watch Dogs Legion (which is set in London) when it come out I will be wondering is this the game or reality

Not at all and if I did apologies. But the fact is if the schools are closed what do we do with them. School is very important for education and rules and the such

    Schools have to stay open

They are the baseline to allow parents work

    There's always trouble in England

There would be alot to be said for a complete alcohol ban going forward into lockdown, what purpose does it serve other than to cause absolute misery in this country. A friend of mine drank himself to death this year in his mid thirties by comparison I don't know anyone within my own social circle or acquaintances who have died from Covid19, although a friend of a friend did die with it sadly. We should have taken the South African prohibition approach.

I can imagine all the bored parents now on the PUP due to Level 5 all taking a casual wander up to the schools and having chats with all the other parents as it's basically their only social outlet these days as all is closed..

South Africa has its own set of issues with alcohol, it being responsible for 40% of hospital admissions, so they had to shut down off licences...

I know it sounds conspiracy theory like, but Michael was in Brussels last week meeting his peers

Some Eu body came out last week and advised member states to start planning how to roll out mass vaccinations

UK NPHET equivalent member at the weekend (Farrar i think) was very bullish about one of the vaccines
If I was being optimistic I'd say that those in the know believe one or more vaccines is close to being approved in the EU with an accelerated distribution plan also in place to see it start rolling out early Q1 next year, and our govt know this but can't communicate it, and have abandoned the living with covid plan in the knowledge of the above

Like I said its being a bit conspiracy theories

Don't all rush at once to disable me of my brief moment of optimism:D

But most parents are going to be at home now

Are they though? Schools, construction, general medical procedures, many shops stocking essential items, nct, courts, the list goes on of things that were closed the last lockdown that are open this time.

Spare a thought for those of us allergic to children who have to endure their shrieking in conference calls :D

Vizza Vee, the confusion surrounding the seemingly innocuous term "midnight"

I've always considered that midnight meant mid-night or middle-night and was therefore the darkest part of the night, in other words, that time which is equidistant between sun-down and sun-up.

I can't believe that you people don't realise it varies !!!
