You know nothing about vaccines obviously. We need the vast majority of people to get vaccinated in order to protect those most vulnerable (some of whom won’t be able to get vaccinated).

This is the whole process by how vaccines are most effective you want to eradicate the virus and to do this you need almost everyone to be vaccinated regardless of if they think they won’t be impacted (you are very foolish to assume you won’t get very very sick from covid btw).

So yes you are anti-vax, the points you make are that of an anti vaxers but you just won’t admit it

You say "anti-vax" as if it's some sort of label to be scared of :D Every individual has the right to consent. To flip your label, I would say big pharma love "pro-vaxers" like yourself. You'll be pleased to hear they're already suggesting you'll be requiring multiple doses. Nothing to do with money, obviously. You can have mine.

Elon Musk said he won't be taking the vax as he's also "not at risk from Covid". It's highly likely he knows more about it all than you, considering he's... er, Elon Musk. Maybe also the fact that he's in business with CureVac, one of the vaccine developers.

I'll side with Elon Musk over you on this one. Good luck and good health to you, regardless.

I doubt employees will get the option. You will be forced to either inoculate or don't come to work.

    See how that pans out.

Nope, not going to happen. And sorry but working from home is going to be the future so it’s none of your employers business whether u are vaccinated or not.

I would say it will be when you have the option of attending your workplace or not getting paid.

As I said, see how that one pans out.

I cannot see employers tolerating staff refusing them, unless they can provide proper medical reasons for not opting for inoculation anyone working will be obliged to take one, particularly health and other frontline staff.

They are talking up vaccinations by Christmas at this point. Anyone who has underlining issues will be mad to not facilitate any new vaccine rollout.

Pubs will be open the day vaccines start, if not before.

Medical stuff is private. Anti vaxers will probably have every right to choose whether to get a vaccine or not. You're describing what you want to be the the case.

Same with pubs opening the day vaccination becomes approved. Pubs sure open todsy if that's what you mean. There's a long way to go between vaccination becoming available and things going back to normal.

People's capacity for unrealistic optimism is endless. Totally disjointed from rurality

I’m not going to look how anything pans out, cause a vaccine cannot be forced on anyone.

I’m putting u on mute anyway, cause the sh*t that comes out of ur mouth is unbelievable.

You will have the option of taking your medicine or losing your job.

See how that pans out for you.

That's fantasy. And the fact that your fantasy is based around getting the pubs open is actually pretty sad. There's much more at stake than that but our government won't mandate vaccination nor will it allow employers to demand evidence of vaccination

They will have the right to work without pay, at best. Otherwise employers will start letting staff go, especially in the private sector.

As soon as vaccines are available the pubs will start opening, people have had enough now. There will be some waver or other rubbish that punters might be expected to sign, but people will be pouring back into the pubs.

    You sound deluded.

Everyone will be back on the piss soon enough.

Anti-vaxers will be forced to take the dole.

Jim is cute enough. He has a few crazy notions about how life should be and he likes winding everyone up.

I thought this thread was about pubs but some langer keeps banging on about a vaccine. Take it somewhere else.

All bar staff will not be able to work without getting a vaccine I would imagine.

    It is very relevant.

He's only trolling... Well, I hope he is anyway, for his own sake :D

As for "mandates", you're right, of course; we're not at Auschwitz here. Thanks for your sensible/balanced views.

That's assuming there is enough for everyone.

Oh right. Is it Leo or Micheal I'm speaking with now?

This is grand if you're saying what you'd like to happen, but it's very unlikely to actually happen.

It is the same as everyone being vaccinated. In theory.

But frontline staff such as Gards, nurses, Doctors, The Army, Bus Drivers etc etc will all be forced to vaccinate. The purpose of the article is to facilitate the NHS not having to fork out 80 million injections to every Tom Mary or Lisa this side of Merthyr Tydfil. But they will be rolling out a vaccine program for sure.

Once vaccinations commence society will start getting back to normal. Anti-vaxers will be faced with a choice. Do I work and get paid or do I go on unpaid leave. I cannot see it working any other way tbh. Anti vaxers who work in the private sector may not even get the option of unpaid leave. Particularly bar and restaurant staff.

I'm just looking at the reality. The logistics of getting a vaccine approved as effective and safe, mass produced, distributed and administered and all the appropriate bureaucracy. These things take time. A year might be very optimistic.

I would say they already have one.

I agree, logistics might be a headache, but whoever is in the race to develop one will have a team owning this process also.

Whoever gets there first will make the most money.

I also reckon that corners will be cut to roll any vaccine out. If I was someone who was vulnerable I would already have my name on a list.

Hear hear, we need to force vaccinate every single person on this planet. From Antarctica to the Amazon, from Mississippi to Mullingar.. We should inject all animals and wildlife too, just to be extra sure. Only then can we safely reopen the pubs and assess how it all "panned out".
