    what does the 14 day incidence rate mean? tried googling it but can't find a definition...

    It's the sum total of the last two weeks' new cases.

    New cases any given day can vary a lot, but the sum like that is a more stable and useful number for assessing how bad things are.

    no was just wondering as its used in a lot of news reports.. i don't really use twitter
