There is not going to be a move past level 3 for most counties, there will be some extra measures added to be seen as acting, the greater good is for life to continue

I genuinely hope you are correct

Yes, when the horse had long bolted. They need to cancel the inter County matches now.

Yeah but they should really have scrapped under-age inter-county too, harder for school-age kids in particular to socially distance.

Shut down from March to June this year

I know yeah, but they are under massive pressure due to the issue they had with the lifts earlier this year in some centers also.

I had mine recently, I managed to get a slot in a town over an hour away. But I'd checked others out of interest aside from those close to me and in a lot of places you couldn't get an appointment til early 2021.

So if they grant another extension say NCTs have been extended 6 months passed their original date possibly and then there is still massive pressure on the system...what happens if there is a fatal accident where a car with a fault that would have been due for NCT in that time is responsible?

I hope we don't find out. Seems like something that should be considered essential to me.

Started on March 24. First significant relaxation on May 18.

June 8 and 15 were the first ones that really made any difference, opening of retail and shopping centres respectively.
It wasn't until 29th June that we got back to a baseline, without pubs. Over 3 months.

Play the ball not the man. It is a rule of this forum. Thanks.

I just think it's very dangerous to suggest there is no danger or people are over reacting, and your post is typical to that kind of barmy army what's the problem? reaction to the whole thing.
You have expressed what you think is not spreading it (in your list). What do you think is then?

What is the story with doorbells? I must have missed that one.
Coronavirus is being spread through people’s homes by visitors pressing doorbells, using towels and sharing cutlery, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has warned.

Assuming Phase 5 happens, anyone willing to guess the timeline for the next few days? Will businesses be given a few days notice? Is the announcement likely Sunday and made effective from Monday midnight? Is that plausible?

No wonder Halloween is cancelled, although true story in China people with covid were rubbing their saliva on lift buttons to spread it....

Hearing lots of restaurants/bars in town closing early tonight at full capacity. Asking people to leave.

Reckon they have been given a heads up?

That's totally disingenuous! Wexford, Cavan and Meath county finals which seem to be the ones closely associated with outbreaks were played on the 3rd and 4th of October. The scenes at Cork hurling final were also on the 04th October.

Activity was suspended on the 05th October. Notably Donegal and Cork Football finals have yet to be played.

Although I agree re Inter County it would be the best course of action not to continue with it given the escalation in cases in the past fortnight.

Anyone know why George Lee is wheeled out in front of the viewing audience instead of Fergal Bowers who is actually the Health correspondent for RTE?

Cos Fergal is a langar who keeps saying the figures are stable even when they have gone up by 50% .
