cheaper one is not waterproof or high resolution. back light is not as good as the paperwhite one. can't extend storage

I actually just realised I have a voucher so I am kinda tempted to get that kindle paperwhite...two questions if anyone could help possibly.
-Will I notice a massive difference in screen resolution? (I am going from old original kindle)
-Is it easy to move all books across to new device? (Very few from amazon store)

I'd go instead for the Prime Day reduced Fire 8" or 10" - acts like a Kindle but you get a great tablet as well

Micro SD cards reduced to crazy levels as well, so go for the 32GB & add big SD card also

£13.99 if you have Prime for 128GB card

My item was Fulfilled by Amazon, but sold by third party seller. Same as her item.

I asked Amazon and they really insisted they don't want the item back, despite me insisting.

You'd think giving Covid that clothes would be something they wouldn't want back (wasn't able to try on stuff in Next Sale recently for that reason) as opposed to a lamp.

Cost of shipping, organisation and data entry etc outweighs cost of items

What you see is based on what you've bought before. Just saying...

Tried to return a lamp there as the plug on it is insanely long and would need to move cabinet out from the wall is sits on.. and got a returnless refund. Onto CS now as would like to return it to be honest.

Missus tried to return a top that was huge and she has to pay £9 to return a £12 top.

    The mind boggles!

If there happened to be something wrong with the top, they’d pay for return shipping.

Don't do this. There's no substitute for a kindle. The paperwhite Vs the older model is like moving from reading in a cave in candlelight to moving to a modern library.

I didnt realise the Fire could be used like a kindle, does it have the same "easy on your eyes" screen for reading?

I got a pop up to look at an eBook and I’d get £5
Credit. I clicked through, browsed the library. I have no kindle or anything. This was yesterday.

Today I got an email to say the £5 was available to use.
I just bought an Echo Dot for €15.52 delivered using it. Anyone else get this banner when using the site?

Yeah it was mentioned earlier in this thread. Hope you got the GBP10 free when you topped up your account by GPB100 too?

All your books will move if they're in the cloud.

Fire doesn't come close in my opinion. Kindle is much lighter and definitely easier on your eyes. Buy a fire if you need a tablet by all means but if you already have a tablet you can download the Kindle app and give it a try. No comparison (in my opinion!)

I don't think I have read a "paper" book since the Kindle was launched.

You can transfer non-Amazon books over by connecting Kindle to laptop or computer. Download books into a folder, connect new Kindle and transfer over

The thought did cross my mind but I was only buying a fire stick for the kitchen and this speaker is from Santa for one of the kids rooms. Nothing else jumped out at me to be honest.

    Just change the plug ..?
Oh, first thing I thought of but plug is proprietary and can't be changed.. as it's soldered together and a cable screws into it.

Worse thing is one of the first reviews indicates that so should have looked closed

Thats on sponsored ads. But not the actual search algorithm thats used when you search for items.

Not derailing the thread any further but if they're on your Kindle you can sync them to the cloud and they'll appear on any device where you're logged in to your Amazon account. It's simple enough in the settings on your Kindle.

Pity there doesn't appear to be a deal on 12 months prime membership.

Our existing one comes up 22/10 and after paying a one off annual fee last year its going to roll off to a €7.99 per month plan BUT if you switch to annual payment they'll charge us €79 (we paid €59 but still).

I think you'll find those prices should be in £ and not €

Small haul for me this year. A tile pro and a laser thermometer thing. Missed out on the One Plus 8 128 GB model for £399 by sleeping on it. Already had a lot of the smart stuff on sale from previous years.

Just check the adapter to see what voltage you need and either re-purpose an old adapter or buy another to suit. Cut off that stupid screw and rewire it to the new adapter.
