I’ve seen a few people mention 10 days, what’s the significance of that?

The next ten days are significant..........

If you forget, they'll tell you again in 3 days, the next ten days have been significant for 6 months.....

The next two weeks are critical. The numbers are very concerning.
I think the message now is knuckle down or it's Level 4 at the end of next week.

Remarkably low death rates up North all the same.

Do they count deaths differently to us?

They don't do the possible or probably deaths like the ROI.

    What's the upside?

I disagreed with them myself. Just showing the effect they can have.

You definitely didn't use the word 'suspected' in your message yesterday about your nephew.

RTE reporting Varadkar has stated the testing infrastructure is being put in place for 100,000 tests a day?

Is this a misquote? Surely beyond our means/resources?

Big testing figure, must be close to the highest daily testing figure?

They have to give Level 3 a fair chance or else they will lose whatever people are still with them

Level 5 is useless if they cant stop house parties or close the schools.

What's else is open at the moment that causes the high numbers? The likes of retailers and barber shops dont seem to be a major player.

He was waiting for a test result and rushed to hospital, as he was waiting on a result he was treated as a covid case, if i forgot to mention that i apologize, it was an emotional response i posted. But again thanks for your concern for his well being.

Confucius say Definitely NOT the schools.

    Comical Ali say the same.

    Fake news

Sorry I have nothing to link to but it's true several friends have been text to collect their children as school is closing due to confirmed cases

The data says the highest infection rates are in young adults. It's really not rocket science to see what's causing the surge - socialising in pubs or house parties.

That's only going to make Dr Tony even more concerned

This may be something to do with that new test I heard about although I don't know how you contact trace 100,000 people a day!

The big numbers have only started appearing in the past week/two-weeks, and we know the deaths will start appearing as those numbers drift into older and more vulnerable populations. I'd say this is what February last year looked like, except we didn't have the ability to test as much back then.

France was recording 10-15k cases a day 2-3 weeks ago and 489 deaths in the last 7 days, stop shroud waving.

I keep on meaning to ask, where are you getting that from an what does it mean i.e. how is it different to actual case numbers which are later in the day

Exactly! I'm struggling to see the advantage Level 5 gives if we can't stop these. It won't be the same as the lockdown in March... because it's not the same set up.

That data also says there is next to near no clusters in pubs, but they are closed.

Do you think the data may be a bit you know shít?
