how can they seriously check the handball by havertz before that goal see it hits his arm very clearly and not rule it out though.

Don't underestimate 84 year old Branislav Ivanovic has joined them too.

Id say Chelsea were in trouble if they weren't playing West Brom but Fulham are hopeless too and if Leeds drop a 3 goal lead this season I wouldn't be stunned either.

I hope you all piled on for Chelsea win at 3 down!

Anyone know what price West Brom were to lay after going 3-0 up?

The rule changed this year because to many goals were rruled out last year over it.

The hand ball now has to be in the immediate build up which I can only assume means the same phase of play. When the West Brom player hoofed the ball after it hit Havertz hand you'd imagine it's a new phase?

I stuck a fiver on Chelsea at HT. They were 19.00.

17/2 for a draw at HT

The handball rule seems very broken, or more positively a work in progress

If the defenders stopped playing and let Chelsea score the refs would've disallowed the goal.

    Ings just keeps on scoring.

Yeah that's what's mad about it. If the keeper doesn't make the save that pushes it to Abraham its ruled out for handball. Because he does it can't be!

It's only handball in an attacking sense if the player scoring or the player assisting handballs it.

This game is wrecking the seasons goals per game average.

Did Burnley lose 1-0 at home without making a single substitution? That seems odd to me.

How do you not make a sub in a game like that? Even just to try something different

Look at their bench, its the worst in the league. No attacking options at all. They also said on commentary that they have over a dozen players who out are of contract next summer. They are in a mess and nobody has realised cause its Burnley.

It was mentioned on the commentary that there were only defenders on the bench.

It does look like they will have new owners very soon. Whether it's enough to prompt a late splurge in the market is another matter.

Whatever happened to sticking a big defender up front and lumping it up to him as a last resort?

    The games gone. :)

The options were bringing on a right back or a left back. Never heard of the other lads on the bench. It was the same after lockdown they had nobody on the bench and regularly made no subs or just subs when players got injured. Most other teams in the league were making 4 or 5 subs.

He doesn't even speak English so to make him captain in his first league game is mind boggling

I came to post just this. I don’t see any logic in this at all. Language and new league aside, is there even much precedence for players being made captain on their debut for their new club?!

11/4 to be relegated seems to be an excellent price in that case

This could finally be the season burnley go down

You'd think after four seasons of EPL money they would have had some more investment in the squad.

Just going back to Utd's winner yesterday. If say the goalie saved it and the ball rebounded to Bruno and he stuck it in the net would the goal of stood or would the ref have blown the whistle the minute it was saved.

If the ref had spotted the handball in normal time and given the penalty then I am sure he would of played on for a few seconds giving utd a chance for someone to score the rebound if it had been saved and came back into play

Only the ref can really answer that. If he blew the whistle immediately after save and before the rebound, then its game over. Itd cause some commotion either way
