    Another 400 odd positives.

The context of the amount of tests (nearly 12,000) can't be ignored.

He shouldn't have to. If business cant read the guidelines set out for everyone's safety the shouldn't be aloud to operate.

Isn't that the thing other than what the poster has alledged we don't know the situation . I'm quite reluctant to take anyone's word for what they think is breaking the rules in the present environment.

Off topic but I saw a poster on another thread moaning that people in restaurants and bars were not wearing masks.

I brought my young lad over to Kildare Farm Foods earlier to have a look at the animals but didnt make it past the shop which is the only means of entrance, we just turned around and left.
Place was shoulder to shoulder with absolutely no monitoring of numbers or social distancing , tables in the restaurant as close together as pre-covid.
Atleast one staff member on the checkout with no mask or surrounding.
This was by far the worst case ive seen of blatant ignorance to the rules , lets just pack them in to spend seems their motto.

Thanks for that information . These places need to named and shamed and avoided

Not so much it’ll be grand / herd immunity is the only way crowd around. Must be down the pub.

Stocking up on their Vit D levels, lovely sunny afternoon . I wrote this while sitting on my patio with a glass of beer.

Outrageous, hope you will be ok. I hope you notified the authorities. Adherence to the new normal guidelines and recommendations (aka “the rules”) or businesses should be shut down, simple as that. We need to think of the death.

It's a pity you are not in charge of the response to this pandemic, Paddygreen. Your no nonsense approach is refreshing. If you were in charge we surely would have eradicated covid by now. Do you take inspiration from the Chinese in your zero tolerance outlook?

Its the very definition of scapegoating. You are saying that people are responsible for causing deaths when you have no way to know and no way to prove they are responsible.

Its fine if you want to hold a belief in a set of restrictions which theoretically prevent unknown transmission. Its not okay if you want to say that x person is directly responsible for transmission because they didn't adhere properly to theoretical containment method y. A droplet-transmitted virus! You yourself may have spread it around without knowing, even while following all restrictions.

How do you think the virus spreads from person to person?

No idea if it is or not, but the poster I responded to posts multiple links off Twitter every day. It's a resource they are familiar with.

If kids going back to school was driving the increase in infections in general the proportion of children being infected should increase as a proportion of all. It hasn’t indicting the rate in children is following the overall rate. It’s not rocket science

I have no idea why you keep repeating yourself on this.

The post I pointed out to you couldn't be clearer.

You could almost say it "wasn't rocket science".

Like I said a little bit less transmit and a little bit more receive.

That poster gives links from an epidemiologist. Why do you have an issue with that? It's great to be informed of these things.

Just shows that there's not likely to be any long term immunity to covid. We'll probably see a few more reinfections in Sweden and Iran too to prove it

More likely it shows that there's still a long way to go before everyone has been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

At Ireland's current rate of infection it would take decades for everyone to be exposed. Even without restrictions a few months would be nowhere near enought time to get anywhere near 100% population exposure. In Ireland it is currently reckoned to be less than 5%. There's a lot of road left yet.

He's an epidemiologist who specializes in nutrition and healthy eating. An expert in virology he is not.

I like how they maintain law and order. Their social credit system is fabulous and innovative, a great tool for modifying and moderating people’s behavior. Fantastic bunch of guys, we could take a few leaves out of their book.

It'll get much higher. The "second wave" peaks will be much higher this time around thanks to increased testing. They really need to be getting that message out or people will lose their minds when we get well over 1000 ourselves.

Instead of slating a business on Boards did you make your concerns known to the owners/management?

I couldn't get near him and didn't want to hang round in the crowds, thought that was obvious.
You will be glad to know i have reported to HIQA however.

Any reason why you couldn't ring the business and express your concern?
Do they only communicate by carrier pigeon?
