So in level 3 is leaving the county a law or a recommadentiaon ,
Will there be road blocks with Garda ?

    Honestly who knows.

Good luck to them setting up checkpoints on the main roads because travelling for work will still be allowed so you'd be looking at fairly bad tailbacks.

Plus with the amount of traffic just passing through Dublin its difficult to say the least. Might get them on smaller roads maybe and in the city but doubt you'll see anything on the main routes

why is nobody asking any questions about the pcr cycles being used in Ireland. we are hunting for noninfectious cases and making massive economic and social decisions based on flawed data.

The head of the National Virus Reference Laboratory dealt with that angle comprehensively, if you're interested.

How do you know it's flawed?

Dublin for Level 3.14159265 then? To show what a Piece of rubbish their handling has been of the levels.

If you can travel within the county then I could leave my home in South Dublin to go to Skerries, take the M50, then M1 and then decide to head to Dundalk instead (not that anyone ever willingly went to Dundalk).

    It will be a "law".

As mentioned, enforcement will be all but impossible with Dublin traffic

Take the Dundalk bypass and go to Carlingford. Lovely place.

Here's a summary of the HSE briefing. Interesting data on schools - 96 schools arranged tests, 35 cases.

    https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2020/0917/1165839-35-positive-covid-19-cases-so-far-in-schools-hse/

Yeah and to those saying transmission can’t occur in schools...
Or to those who said statistically they all probably brought it in.

Hang on to the weasel word ‘may’ if you must.

    You were wrong unfortunately.

The HSE has said that the number of Covid-19 cases in schools is 131, with 96 cases believed to have arisen through community transmission, and another 35 where transmission may have occurred in a school.

Based on what Harris is saying they won’t be changing anything, given most is online anyway

From level 3 as it stands? Guess besides wet pubs may be the case. But would seem daft that people in Dublin can't go to wedding outside Dublin but people in Dublin can still have one with potentially all guests being from Dublin!

The WHO have warned of a "very serious situation" unfolding in Europe

That's good news, they are wrong about everything so far so let's hope the trend continues.

It sounds like there’s some confusion here between “level 3” and “third level” as in 3rd level education.

If Dublin calmed down we would be doing relatively okay

Is it now 13 schools in total in ROI with confirmed cases?

To be fair it doesn't even need to come down that much. Its always going to have the highest. Just needs to get stable

If there are any positives from today's 240 figures. 129 are from Dublin which while still v bad is only 50% of the case load. I think other counties are beginning to catch up with Dublin. I think during the week on one or two day, Dublin had in excess of 60% of the case load.
