Thanks for that I wonder what "Additional restrictions for indoor dining" would mean?
Probably haven't figured them out yet.

There's not a single flicker of light at the end of this, it's day after day of trying to push back a wave that just keeps coming, nothing can realitically be done about it as there's too many arseholes living and travelling to this country to stop the spread. Either start locking up and fining people or give up this game.

Slow down and drive in 3rd gear.

This guy Nolan is a lecturer. Would he deliver his lectures by displaying slides nobody could see? It is shocking he is talking about something and referring to slides nobody can see.
I can understand getting it wrong in April, but 5 months later?
One does think if they can't get this right as to what this says about their general level of competence.

Seems to me that we should have went the way of Sweden or NZ.

What we have done is a complete mess.

Closing down Dublin is effectively closing down half the country, it's not something the government won't to do

They're pushing now that this isn't just a Dublin problem, for all the commentary on Dublin there are a number of counties they're worried about and nationally in general

It's simple really. Don't travel outside your county to any other county, but feel free to travel to loads of other countries.

I've said this before. NPHETs press conference is taking place live on RTE's news channel. Prof Nolan is speaking by referring to slides that are terribly hard to see. This has been going on all year and nobody has the wit to display the slides in the way Andrew Cuomo, for example, did in his presentations. I wonder about their expertise if they cannot get this simple detail correct or that nobody in NPHET thinks this is something we need to remedy.
the doh consider it a press conference not a public conference

I don't see how cases go down in Dublin without some significant intervention for at least 2/3 weeks.

All they would have to do is make the stream that is going to rte news now or the website of hse be focused on the slides show rather than camera feed and have the lads picture in picture, all at the easily managed control of hse IT dept or what I'm suspecting the sub contracted AV company.

They could change it in seconds on the fly.

There is little clarity on the travel restrictions for Dublin now on Level 2.5 (other than, please don't travel if possible - soft IMO) or the threatened Level 3 - what do we think these might be? Would they be the policed roads out of the county like we saw with Kildare? Or a softer request not to travel, which those who are compliant will follow but those who don't give a damn will ignore?

Why isn't this being broadcast on the main channel? Still reporting that further restrictions are being considered for Dublin on there.

Problem with now compared to say March/April is those breaking the rules with house parties have adapted in the months since that initial lockdown and house parties are now their new normal entertainment.

It lasts for about 1 hour so RTE News Now makes sense.
