Bit of a bottle in fairness when it comes to Dublin.

Are they seriously considering stopping people eating in restaurants, even under level 3, and forcing them to get a takeaway back for the house party?

One thing I *do* like is the name: " Resilience & Recovery 2020-2021: Plan for Living with COVID-19 "

It says exactly what we need to do - live with this.

    2.5.

Thats not a plan - that is just a list of restrictions.

There is nothing about that on how you move between levels - that is the most important thing of the entire plan

Did Donnelly just say thanks taoiseach when Leo finished ?

20 minutes talking about the general importance of having a plan with no actual details of the plan.

For larger stadiums, such as Croke Park, aviva stadium etc. Basically anywhere with capacity over 5k.

"For very large purpose built event facilities (for example: stadia, auditoriums, conference or event centres) specific guidance will be developed with the relevant sectors to take account of size and different conditions for larger events."

Leo is so much better at Communication.

I think this sort of press conference is far better then the piecemeal mish mash we have been getting. The Harris, Leo, CMO trifecta was really good at the time.

Just tell people why you have to do what you are doing.. It really shouldn't be this hard... This is the way to do it....

    Social and family gatherings
    In your home or garden

You can have up to 10 visitors from up to 3 households

That's at level 1. So up to 3 households (3 mates if they all live seperately), in your house, best case scenario for 6-9 months?

Yeah good luck with compliance on that one. Utterly ludicrous impositions on people's lives

Part of the problem has been that people dont understand decisions being made, this is what leads to fatigue. You get people to buy into what you have to do, then the plan will be easier to implement.

Will be interesting to see what that specific guidance is. But it looks like there could be a few thousand allowed in Croke Park / Aviva.

No change to face nappies even at level 1, still penalty on conviction for not wearing a face covering up to €2,500 and/or 6 months in prison.

    They can shove their plan.

It's all in the plan for level 2 linked to a few posts back
    Matches and events

    up to 100 patrons/spectators outdoors and 50 patrons/spectators indoors
up to 200 for outdoor stadia or other fixed outdoor venues with a minimum accredited capacity of 5,000
For very large purpose built event facilities (for example: stadia, auditoriums, conference or event centres) specific guidance will be developed with the relevant sectors to take account of size and different conditions for larger events.

    https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/18e18-level-2/

LOL, it's not there at all. They've had days to come up with it and yet in the guidelines they still say that they need to develop the guidelines.

Hot air. After a half hour no solid detailed guidelines outlined.

If this is them getting there message across they are ****ed.

Has MM thrown NPHET under the bus?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,448 ✭✭✭✭stephenjmcd

So level 3 is very short on detail.

Bars, cafes and restaurants (including hotel restaurants and bars) - Additional restrictions for indoor dining.

    Wet pubs - Additional restrictions.

    Absolutely no detail

Widespread distribution of a vaccine will take years. We can’t keep this up until then
